Needlestosay, it also has one of the lowest levels of debt among EMU, thats despite the GFC. If you want to talk in terms of economics, Turkey has never been better of SINCE THE ESTABLISHEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC! :)

i totally agree..ive seen some Arab girls being forced to wear them, and the things they get up to levae no reason for them to be even wearing one.But obviously its not the fault of their own rather its the parents. I thought I knew a lot of this great leader but this film has given more to me...I am proud to have been given the opportunity to serve in the USAF at the base near Karamursel in 1957 and departed in 1959. I hope Turkey will maintain the Ataturk vision...thank you !

How about taking a look at the Arab oil states, the richest in the Muslim world. Their cities may look pretty but it was built almost entirely by non-Muslim foreigners. It's hard to believe that a country which was once led by a modern leader who implmented western values could be used as a tool to promote communist values.Values that prevent people from living their own lives, i think turban is an issue, and a huge debacle for Turkish liberty.I dont think Turkey should be allowed any entry to European union rather diverted to join the Chinese and Russian union.

Dude, don't listen to this guy. Ataturk only forbidded the Hijab/Turban/Headscarf in governmental buildings and institutions. Because he wanted to keep religion and state seperatly. It also would make it hared for extremists to get power over or in the governmental institutions. Anywhere alse it's you're own choice to wear it or not. And fuck AKP. They did good on the economy and all .. but they fucked a lot of things up too.

That is a very bold statement. And you need to be more specific when you say
'they fucked the economy'. I think Turkey's economy is relatively stronger than ever. It has a very buoyant banking sector, relatively low inflation rate and a good fiscal balance. Needlestosay, it also has one of the lowest levels of debt among EMU, thats despite the GFC. If you want to talk in terms of economics, Turkey has never been better of SINCE THE ESTABLISHEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC! :)

To be honest I thought the same way as you when I was a bit younger. But the main reason it's forbidden in institutions is because the headscarf isn't obligated in Islam. It's not that only extremists wear it, I know a lot of people that do so most aren't . But Extremists always have headscarfs.

I also think Ataturk just didn't like the headscarf for some simple reasons. He saw it as something from the Arabian culture. And not something that belonged to Islam. Or to our Turkish/Turkic culture. i totally agree..ive seen some Arab girls being forced to wear them, and the things they get up to levae no reason for them to be even wearing one.But obviously its not the fault of their own rather its the parents. I know in that regards Turkish families they are much better, you rarely get cases as such, though you do get them. All i can say in this subject is every soul deserves to express itself however they like, without being restricted by externalities.

He proved the whole world that he is one true respectfull leader. So what matters if another salty drop in an endless ocean named aziz talks about him? He is just another victim of ignorance and a wolrd of hate. People like him will never be remembered in this world but the name Mustafa Kemal Atatürk will never be forgotten. To guys who have been very critical towards Mustafa Kemal,go read about the father of Turks at Wikipedia or anywhere else and then u guys will see. Mustafa Kemal is of course,but a human,but he was an extraordinary one. Both as a muslim and as a Turkish leader. So plz show some respect.
