  • Turks rulezzz yeahhh

  • excuse me if i cite you: "they cannot sing" - in my opinion that is quite clearly stating what you are claiming to never have said... also, no need to get personal. I cannot judge on the swingle singer's performance of today compared to the original group, but having been a member of several (auditioned and unauditioned) choirs of high standards and a college a cappella group, being a grade 8 singer and playing several instruments, i think i know quite a bit about music... be it vocal or not.

  • another sign they cannot sing ... or why do they simply change the briodges? Classical music is not to be altered in any kind

  • @jhstha if you were just a bit familiar with the history of modern (vocal) music in general or the swingle singers in special, you would know that ward swingle revolutionized the art of a cappella by taking classical pieces (by bach, mozart or beethoven) and rearranging them into a jazz piece, making it "his" piece of music, to which he added his personal artistic touch. it has been completely legitimate to change classical music since then... and i dare you to say the swingle singers can't sing

  • @Yossus well, your rather stupid comment shows that it is you who has no clue of music. and, you ale have no clue of reading, I never said the swingle singers couldn't sing. Therefore, learn reading first, you noob, before you risk a big mouith. I said they they cannot deal with technical equipment.

Besides, there is a huge difference between the swingle singles decades ago and the nowadays group. The nowadays group lack quality !! It is NOT about Ward Sweingle making anything His

  • i love this so much this song, but at 1:50 everytime im in fukn heaven i can't tell that feeling it's so beautiful i can hear this for hours..., just clicked repeat ^^

  • One problem is that it is too fast!

  • jedi be govna

  • hmm they are good as BGM...

  • this is cool to point....then in kinda gets annoying...

no offense to any who thinks this is amazing this is just my opinion

  • they shouldnt sing so fastplayed pieces like rondo alla turca i think it sound childish and kinda stupid (just 2 much babababababab)... sounds not really good here..

on piano it sounds way way better

the first 2 mins of their bach "sinfonia"-interpretation sound way better

    cuz its a slowplayed piece

  • @Dirkovic80 That's the point...

  • really awesome i just wish i could find some better quality videos of them...

  • Hi...there are excellent CD's not many unfortunately ...but you can find some :)

  • This group is truly amazing. They sound really good. I love how they add movements into their songs. Awesome!

  • Stuff like this just sounds better on a small brass ensemble (see: The Canadian Brass)

  • this is vocal music. it would be a little different. can your brass instrument sound like voices?

  • Yes.

  • really now..

  • Well, everyone who plays a instrument (and want to play it well) must be able to sing to, because the instrument only "helps" the voice.

Maybe a instrument doesnt´s sound like a human voice, but most music pieces which are written for any instrument sound best with this instrument...although this sounds cool!

  • By your logic, 'this piece sounds much better on piano' as it's originally for piano, not brass.

  • I think, it should be " an instrument" NOT " a instrument" and "able to sing, too" NOT "able to sing to."

  • Well, let me tell you that the audiance in this video paid to see a vocal group. If brass players had been there, they would have felt cheated out of their money.

There's no use in arguing over which type of group sounds better. They each have merit in their particular ways.

  • To use a comment from the great Irish Playright Brendan Behan.....

    BOLLOX!!

  • These guys are the best!!Amazing. Portugal waits for you!

  • Eles vêm ca dia 26 de Julho, a Espinho e dia 27 de Julho às Caldas da Rainha.

  • To Portugal

  • Weird definitely isn't the right word. I like everything about it. Dynamics especially!

  • Actually, after I posted that... I had a second thought. At times the 2 female parts and 2 male parts seemed too spread apart. You might get dangerous and just add an inner voice occasionally between parts. At the end it has that nice fullness in the voicing. Do it more often! It's kewl!

  • yea it is kinda fast. But hey that's what they do and they do it better than anyone else ever has

  • this version its not weird but i'm afraid that in the fast-notes part its not too accurate, but sounds great!

  • Wow! I thought it was tough when I played this on the xylophone... but a capella?? Amazing!

*goes in search of more music by this fantastic group*

  • OMG..i feel out of breath for you guys..love it!

  • YES! I agree with you. It' wonderful that you stand up for it in such an honorable way! But I was listening to it the very first time. Maybe it'll take some time to get familiar(I don't know f it's the right word here?!) with it and then appreciate it!!!

  • That's weird!!!!

  • Nope, it is not "weird" at all. Actually, it is great music sung by no other than the worldwide renown singing "a capella" group "The Swingle Singers", an octect with a history of more than forty solid years of absolute greatness on what they do. Let it go, charlie.

  • Ok maybe but to me it's weird!

  • "Weird" usually refers to that which seems to be eerie, unnatural, etc. A great deal of people uses this word in a rather derogatory, mocking fashion, as you obviously have. Therefore, I believe it was fair to stand up in defense of something totally undeserving of such categorization. Now you can go ahead and trash something else, kid.
