The heat concentrated and the air heavy, the weed fresh in my lungs, the breeze on my face, in the crowd, in the summer, surrounded with music in the city... if you closed your eyes you were just one in the field with the sweet breeze but connected to everyone else around you who was there for the same reason as you and THEN the fireworks catching my eye suddenly, silently and brilliantly in the night sky hanging like combusted stars in rainbows...Amazing.
I'm fairly sure the fireworks weren't for radiohead it just seems that 'everything was in it's right place' HAHA YES!
No the show was really fucking cool tho, altho it was a bit too chill in my opinion, but that's probablly because their new cd is chill for the most part.
I can't imagine how amazing it was for the acid heads in the crowd
actually they weren't, chicago sets off fireworks at different parks all the time in the summer. the fireworks at radiohead were coming from a park about half a mile down the road. just happened to sync up with the show.
for the people angry that the fireworks took away from the show, they didn't at all. They weren't related to the set, but really made it a special moment, especially during Fake Plastic Trees. I was quite near the front, but off to the side, and smooshed behind some really annoying wasted tall people! I think the fireworks helped those of us who were a bit frustrated at not being able to see anything feel "in the moment". I'm glad I got this mediocre quality video of it! :)
wat radiohead song is that??
