yes. and many that are better. PLUS, it doesn't void your warranty. When I jailbroke mine it screwed my iPod up. I don't recommend doing it.

Yep, almost all applications that work for the iPhone work for the iPod touch. Which ones don't? Ones that require a microphone or an external speaker. So what are you missing out on? Your iPod touch can't be a light saber.

If there is, then (this will apply more to iPod Touch than the iPhone since the iPhone is a smart phone already and a smart phone, by definition I believe, is Microsoft's way of saying "phone+PDA" heck, the iPod Touch would become Apple's successor to the Newton.

This app store is going to be amazing, i am an ipod touch owner and baised on what apple has shown on their web site, this will be on iphone and ipod touch. i really don't want to pay another $20 but it is worth it. i wish i could find a release date. My guess is it's comming with the iphone 3G

yup the app store will be available for the ipod touch users as well on june. Current iPod Touch users will have to pay a 20 bux fee for this though because the App Store is coming out on the June firmware update for the new iPod Touch 2.0. So there's been the 1.1.1, the 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4, and the new 2.0 Touch will feature the new APP Store. I'm waiting till June to buy my new Touch.

the installer apps are not complex, like say.. a proper World war 2 game would never come out on installer app, and it will on app store.

for all jailbreakers information. after june, the installer will be down, and everyone will be putting games onto the app store.

Yep, but JB apps are unprotected and unsafe , they can do everything (everything=bad stuff too) ;p, this got protections that apps can't "explode" your iPhone/iPod Touch and it's not so easy as just installation of app itself ;].

I believe some but not all will be available for the iPod touch, it depends on the function. The iPhone has constant access to AT&T's data networks so apps might be made to be catered for use with the data network.
