Owned a 1992 SP with the 1.8ltr DOHC, yes they are capable of 210 genuine km/h, however there is NO WAY that it would accelarate like that naturally aspirated and as if the engine would rev beyond 8000 rpm without as much as even a protest?? Seriously...

323 RLZ! I have a (BG) Mazda 323 1.3 Family from 1995. Her top speed is 192kmh with 75HP (on GPS speedometer)

And now although it could use a little facelift...

But I love her because she never let me down for 16 years :D

This max speed is only possible if the car fall from a plane.... I have a 323F 1.3 from 1998 , 75 ps with 16v , max speed is 170 km/h

And i have a 323F V6 too ( Astina , Lantis ) , max speed is 220 km/h.

My 1.3's top speed is real (when she was in the best condition). Best would be if I could show video, but I can not, because now I should spend as much to car as many of the own price.

If i will be 600 euros and if i done it, i can make a speedtest... just for you :D

And i have an another 323 too - 1.5 Safety from 1999 with 88 HP - top speed 180kmph, very sluggish and uncomfortable.

are the car modefied in some way or is it stock from faktory?

im having a 323 bg 1,6 8v and are on my way to change the engine to a 1,8 doch and undering if there is any problem to get the new engine to fit my car or is it nececery to modefy anything.

@extec101 I have a 323F BG 1.6i 16V and to change the engine to a 1.8 DOHC one, you need to change the engine cabling as well (and of course the ECU). However, you can fit the 1.8 SOHC engine without any problems: just change the engine and the ECU, the cabling can be left.

Also it's possible to fit other engines to the 323 and 323F BG, like turbocharged 1.6 from the 323 BF GTX or the 1.8 V6 from the MX-3 (and maybe also the 2.0 and 2.5 engines found in the Xedoses).

@AttilaSVK thats sound nice that it is posible to change the engine quite easy since i alredy have an engine on the way i just have to get the cabeling and ecu,

can you confirm if its posible to use the stock cables with new ecu?

@extec101 if it's a SOHC, the cabling can stay, but if it's a DOHC, you'll have to change it as well. I think one of my friends has it for sale from a 323F BG. It _should be_ the same, but I cannot tell it for sure. Anyway, if you're interested send me a message.

@AttilaSVK its a doch engine im geting its not that hard to find the electical or ecu becaus here in cold sweden people dont apriciate howe mutch valu ther is in a mazda so ther just lying around i diffrent yunkyards wating for oss gyus that love this cars to save the best parts.

@extec101 Do they have electronic mirrors for the F BG on those junkyards? I had one pair, but they broke when I slipped out from a curve and after 2 or 3 turnovers ended in the corn field.

@extec101 But remember, this is not legal in all countries, as you can only fit engines approved by the manufacturer. They'll of course won't give you that for engines that were not factory fitted to your car. (for example for they should approve the 1.8 DOHC, but not the 1.8 V6 taken from an MX-3, which can be also installed without extreme modifications)

na czipie za 10 zł z allegro napewno by sie tak nie wkręcał i poza tym to nie jest DOHC bo w DOHC czerwone pole robi sie dopiero od 7tys obrotów a nie od 6 ;]

Licznik jest od SOHC bo taki silnik siedział u mnie seryjnie. Ale SOHC tak by się nie wkręcał ;-)

A więc mam zrobiony dolot, wydech, ostrzejsze wałki, tłoki wysokiej kompresji, strojenie na SMT6, odcinka przesunięta do 8100. To tak w ogromnym skrócie.

I´ts damn fast for a non turbo. My best timeslip with my old 323 BG GT at the quartermile was 15,13 sec/147 km/h but i think that your car would beat that :)
