that's not true. I have changed strings on my guitars all at once for a long time. NEVER had any problem what-so-ever. Beside, what do you do when you change a pickup???? This myth is BUSTED >!!!!!!

Just cut the string with wire cutters and pull both ends out.

Why reattach them? New strings are under $5/set---also, loosen the strings first, before you cut

Not necessarily. I have had one string stuck at the peg's hole maybe because of how the string was originally put in.
