Dad and his "Gift Of Gab".. @Germany1111- I wish I could dispute what you said about him. He made more $ than most could dream of and never "invested" like Ron did. But talking to my father is an experience unworthy of any $.. He is an amazing guy and tells a story like u wouldn't BELIEVE. I'm very proud to be a Welch. =)
Smart, smart guy for wrestling, but unfortunately, piss-poor with money. His brother finished with wrestling a rich man, but Rob has had to stay with it. These guys owned Continental, the territory my hometown was in [Pensacola, FL].
Remember that if you buy a shoot interview, you're supporting the wrestlers, but if you buy an RF Video shoot interview, you're supporting a pedophile (RF = Rob Feinstein...look up his history).
@Buckeyecat2002 Colonel is a title someone gets in recognition of an accomplishment down in Kentuckuh. Colonel Sanders is just one of them, its a whole thing.
this guy is so cool. he used to live in the same condo building as my grandparents. every summer i would stay with them and robert kinda took me under his wing when i was there. he got me into lifting weights and tell me stories. i still see him every now and then.
ron wasa huge(6'9")...but he could move VERY well...like 'taker now...plus he was an AWESOME promoter/booker as well as performer...at least from what ive heard/read...some of the "90 Minutes W/ Ron(nie) Garvin" interview in a recent THE WRESTLER/INSIDE WRESTLING 2-IN-1 from awhile ago...idk if i still have it,though...plus other sources...
I've seen Robert,Ron and Jimmy Golden in my hometown of Florence,Alabama many times.I'm glad 2 see those guy in their prime.I wish pro wrestling had storylines like the 80's it really sucks now!
@CadillacL I never realized how tough Fuller was until Meltzer/Honky Tonk Man said Fuller was one of the guys who helped break Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit in at the New Japan Dojo.
@aoxomoxoadead Robert Fuller real name is Robert Welch...His dad's name was Ed Welch..but they used the name Fuller..They are from Dyersburg, Tn...I know of a man who trained with their dad and he said "YOU TALK ABOUT MAKING A COUPLE OF KIDS TOUGH"...he would grab this kids ( Ron and Robert) when they were like 6 and 7 years old by the hair of the head and walk around the ring with them...
Sean Waltman went on Bubba the Love Sponge a few years back and said Fuller had one of the biggest dicks of all the boys in the showers. He said he "almost shit my pants" when he saw it. Bubba laughed at the thought of Sean "checking out cocks."
he looks the same age...good for him

Does this man also promote deep fat southern fried chicken and fixin's ? It must be the neck wear and the "Colonel" monicker.

Favorite Robert Fuller line-
Mean Gene: Do you ever take off that hat?
Fuller: I would take my hat off for a lady, but I never met one!
