  • My favorite seen in the movie, but I was hoping to see the refrigerator like a monster when it showed its teeth. That was some crazy shit! Don't ever do pills!

  • Alright! Maybe you've wondered about DietOramy dieting (google's got a number data on it)? Ive come across many incredible details about it and my mother got rid of a lot of extra pounds using it.

  • this is the most sick film i have ever seen! i throwed up and cried while i watched it :`\

  • ive not seen the film, is the light faulty or is it showing how sensitive to light she is?

  • Skullgirls brought me here~

  • Is this really what it's like?

  • this reminds me of when I went back on dexedrine for adhd as an adult...

  • @MrSpemat

ADHD is a marketing scheme by the big pharmaceutical companies. It doesn't really exist, google it! They diagnosed me with it too and it ruined my childhood.

  • this is what doctors call a drug induced psychosis. I've had 5 of them. They are scary like this... reality becomes so fucked up. never doing that again....

  • It's amazing how despite all of the gore and special effects there is in modern-day horror films, this simple fridge scene is still more terrifying than much of what we have today.

  • @ultimazer0 : The real horror is inside your head!

  • ughh so sad i wish she got off drugs...

  • Is your refrigerator running...oh it is?

Does she need to call a mechanic or the ghostbusters?

If you take the red pill...

Ahhh, So that's where I left my broodwhich.

I wonder what she'd freak on if she went into her bathroom?

...Someone need to cool down that fridge.

  • This scene is like 100x times scarier than any horror movie ever made.

  • This isnt what speed does but that doesnt matter at all, this movie is the most depressing and mindblowing of all time. It help me keeping of the pills and other harddrugs.

All the people that say this isnt going to happen to you dont know the dangour of these things

  • @TheRoyalcrime

What amkes you say this isn't what speed does? Amphetamines have been known to show a trait known as amphetamine psychosis when they are abused or used for a long period of time. This is what Sara is experiencing when she sees her fridge moving and attempting to attack (it is an object of stress to her, so this is natural). The game show part is a delusion of reference that can be caused by almost anything in the world...

  • @blackmumba111 I didn't knew that Amphetamines did that i would look it up in my books.

  • most depressing film i've ever watched. guess that's why i love it so much

  • @DancingStarsOnTheSky most realistic film i've watched

  • this has to be one of the most depressing movie scenes i've ever seen.

  • This part scared the crap out of me. This is enough to keep me off pills.

  • Darwin Award for that old lady popping pills like crazy

  • No joke, this is probably the first time in movie history, that I have been scared of a fridge o.O

  • and that's when I'd be like 'screw the red dress'

  • I'll have what she's having.

  • @sargon155 lol!

  • nom nom nom

  • everybody!!! Search for this song:

Tactix - Requiem For A Dream.

  • What the fuck is this? Amphetamine doesn't make you see dumb shit and turn you into a psycho.

  • @MrTreantHugger

She didn't eat for at least 2 weeks.

  • @MrTreantHugger uh it does, ever heard of amphetamine psychosis? not to mention she'd have a severe vitamin deficiency since she wasn't eating and probably wasn't sleeping much either... all of those on their own could cause that

  • @MrTreantHugger "What the fuck is this? Amphetamine doesn't make you see dumb shit and turn you into a psycho."

One night, after a binge on meth, my cousin saw some guys out in his driveway, in front of his truck with the hood up, stealing parts. When he went out to confront them, they all ran away. Later that night, he got into a tussle with some trespassers in his backyard. He called the police three times that night, only to discover none of it was real.

  • @MrTreantHugger i know meth users that arent crazy but i mean if you havent slept for a couple days you'd start hallucinating too

  • They are definitely not just over the counter, she had to go to a specialist to get them... they were amphetamine pills in the end. speed. Hence the bit when she cleans the house like a maniac and it's all sped up.

Aronofsky explains it in the DVD extras...

    Hope this helped!

  • ass to ass!

  • its so good implemented how stuff you see from the firstsight as something scary or weird develops from time to time into something horrifying like this. thats exactly how a horrortrip starts

the thoughts make out the everything

  • juice by sarah

  • one of my fav movies...spun is after that...

  • Besides the scary fridge that is the best I can explain what it's like to take 18 25 mg benadryls... The hightened senses and over analysing things. Light had strange effects and I could hear sounds. Also shadows would randomly appear at the edge of my vision and move accross. Physically I felt drunk and a little bit like throwing up.

  • @Ereithil

    xD

It's an over-the-counter medicine... prolly just placebo

  • @Fonveh

    Which is?

She is taking diet pills that cause hallucinations and psychosis. Benadryl is over the counter but it still has diphenhydramine which when taken at a very high dose acts like a deliriant.

  • @Ereithil Strange affects, hearing sounds. and seeing shadows is not Amphetamine psychosis, it's tiredness(due to pills keeping you up). With or without speed if someone doesnt sleep they can experience strange things, eye cornered shadows and odd little sounds etc... but they're still in some sort of control of their mind/thoughts. Psychosis is much worse; extreme paranoia, seeing actual things, hearing actual voices/sounds, delusional thoughts, hallucinating that can take a long time to end

  • The pills actually give u a rush of thoughts. You get anxious. You start looking at things differently with heightened imagination. This is a very accurate portrayal of the effects of diet pills. When I was younger I abused over-the-counter diet pills. Everything was emphasized 10x more, your senses, the things u see... You can actually notice things like your breathing and the flickering of light just like in this scene. The thing is u can't control it and u feel like you're spinning.

  • @sashmiller93 eat shrooms

  • Ellen should have won the Oscar instead of horseface roberts.

  • @Popteart haha horseface

  • Crazy pills

  • so she's seeing things because of those pills she's taking?

  • @peewypenguin pretty much, you gotta see the entire movie to make sense of it all though, such a masterpiece

  • @masacrist yeah. i just watched the whole movie w/ my older cousin pausing it every moment, explaining all the confusing parts. btw, tahnks

  • @peewypenguin when you od you see shit

  • @lcc3337777 oh

  • @peewypenguin doesn't she want to get heaps thin? So the fridge kind of tempts her...by moving towards her?

  • @ValkyrieShadows yeah! im sure i guess........

  • No...do drugs, but not too much of them (:

  • it´s like Silent Hill 4 when the room it´s infected

  • I HATE THAT FUCKING FRIDGE!

  • don't do drugs, get high on hugs! :D

  • she really didnt deserve this for her innocent intentions, and the worst part was that she suffered the most from all the characters in the shortest amount of time by getting hooked on those uppers. what made me deppressed inside for her was the part were she took more pills to get her feel at a better level than it already was and when she would get terryfied of the fridge and hallucinations around her she would just pop more pills instantly, i seriously thot she was gonna have a heart attack.

  • I love the ad I got on this video for diet pills. Loose 10lbs in 10 days! Thanks google!

  • Actually one of the few light moments in the film!

  • its shooter mcgavin!

  • Based on my experience with amphetamines, watching her abuse them like that just gave me shudders.

  • this movie is so FUCKING GOOD and sooo under appreciated i feel like nobody my age ahas seen it except for my best friend. however i am only 20

  • @TheMuffinMan151 I'm 22 and its one of my favourite movies, i'v seen it so many times. Its amazing!!

  • @krissie3 I'm 12 years old and shut the fuck up no one gives a shit how old you are.

  • @CBGB42 -Hahaha you didn't have to even say you were 12, could have guessed just by reading your irrelevant reply

  • @krissie3 lrn2internet faggot.

  • @CBGB42 Nah, I'd rather have a life thanks but enjoy the next 30 years in your parents basement, best of luck with that mate

  • @TheMuffinMan151 It's an amazing film! Don't be confined to watching only the films your peer group watches though mate. Watch what you want and make your own opinions. If you're watching films as good as this then you'll be way up on your friends in no time! :)

  • :( my fridge did this last night .....

  • i wish my fridge did that and walked over to me but didnt kill me, that'd make it a hell of a lot easier than having to get up to get my damn food :P

  • Goddamn, the script writer for this movie knows amphetamine psychosis like the back of his hand. I've never seen such an accurate recreation.

  • :((((((((((((((

  • This is what happens after you havent slept in 5 days because youve been twistin the pizz

  • dm this scene is so hard to watch, ive had eating problems and this scene fukin made me cry, seing someone suffer like this, really heartbreaking movie, this is a real actor she def deserved that oscar that year

  • guys what happened in the end of this video??? couldnt understand :'(

  • fridge burped

  • That scene scared the s--t out of me! The hell if I'm doing drugs! But what is so amazing about this film (haven't seen it, just scenes on Youtube), is that it can scare the hell out of you, make you cry, and sympathize with the characters. I have to see this movie.

  • If you abuse it, this WILL happen I can tell from experience. If you want to try something similar just take ecstasy waaaaay funnier and not addictive and neuro-toxic, Not encouraging anyone to take drugs just saying speed isn't worth it.

  • @malinou1 well said brother, spread the word

  • @malinou1 Right. Right. Right. Right...

  • I AM THE FRIDGE OF DEATH!! I WILL EAT YOUR FAMILY!! OM NOM NOM

  • How did they make a refrigerator terrifying?

  • shit i always wanted to try those amphetamine thingys but im afraid to go nuts just like Sara Goldfarb

  • @SuckMyAssAmerica Not worth trying it, never.

  • @SuckMyAssAmerica Good! Maybe you'll stay away from them! :)

  • Man, this scene terrifies me. Its just so unsettling and they camera work is so effective.

A beautiful movie but extremely hard for me to watch at times...

  • holy shit this scene scared me.

  • Same here. When I first saw the this scene, I jumped like 3 feet in the air when the fridge jumped at her.

  • the trippiest me i have ever scene holly shit top of my list boys and girls

  • this scene scared the fuck outta me

  • What happened to the mother letterally made me cry. I couldnt help but think that if this ever happened to my mom... I dont know what Id do. I guees Id go to her doctor and stuff those pills down his throat. I dont know what it is about amphetamines, but once I took too many, and I was hallucinating as bad as the mother was.

  • @lumpybruisychickeny1

From a biomedical student, none of that makes any sense, stop playing pretend chemist on Youtube comments please.

  • Ok master now. Can I pretend to be anythig else for you sir? No of coarse not

  • I would've done the same, dude. Stuff like this is so sad. Did you watch it whole way through? The ending had me crying so loud.

  • Yeah when that dude and his boy got busted, one lost his arm, and his girlfriend was humiliated. The Mom had it the worst though. She didnt deserve what happened to her.

  • @Natedawg422 love love love everything about your comment and couldnt agree with it any better. i felt so bad for mama :( all she wanted was to fit in that lil red dress . . .poor baby </3 hahah and that fuckin fridge scared the crap outta me

  • @Natedawg422 None of them deserved it. What happened to each character was horrible and undeserved, but I agree that the mum's story was the saddest.

  • @amberisabella The mother was the only person with innocent intentions though. The girl chose to sleep with that dude and perform sexually for drugs and to get her fix. The white guy chose to keep shooting up despite the fact that his arm was hurting, and to get his fix. But the mom just wanted to fit in her dress for television, and went to her doctor when things were getting strange but he insisted everything was fine. UUUGGGHHH!! That pissed me off!!

  • I'm going to be on television!

  • I'd say that Christians are all suffering from whatever this lady's got.

  • @ThePowerwise- so are most arrogant, condescending people.

  • All Americans suffer from this.

  • Don't be ignorant.

  • @tpmunyon

    Don't be gay.

  • @tpmunyon Ignorance is bliss

  • She´s got an amphetamine psychosis, a mental collateral collapse, caused through abuse of amphetamine-containing diet pills.

  • @Bobbel222 perfectly put

  • love this movie...

  • Although it sounds weird, this is a great film, but I hate it! It's almost painful to watch in places.

I think of all the horrible fates of the characters, the old woman's is the saddest, because it's mostly the fault of society that she goes so downhill (the doctors don't care, son doesn't visit, gameshow doesn't give a crap).

The fridge scene always scares me, there's no warning the thing's going to move XD

This film makes most "horror" films look like a kid's cartoon...

  • My favorite part is how they compare the prescription pills to the illegal drugs. Is the doctor any less careless than the dealers on the street?

  • Very well put. The doctors treating her pissed me off so badly. I still get unsettled by the final disturbing 'montage' even after seeing it numerous times.

That's what makes films scary; bad things that CAN happen to you, rather than bad things that can't or most likely won't happen (which is pretty much what all horror movies are about these days)

Still one of my favorite films, though. The soundtrack and the editing was mind-blowing.

  • @hermanJnr112 i know its a masterpiece.... just so sad though ....

  • what in the world!?

I haven't gotten to see this movie but are the drugs or pills making her see these things... the fridge is scaring me!

  • It gets worse!

  • ZUUUUUULLLL!!!!!

    Sorry Ghostbusters reference.

  • GIVE ME YOUR PEE PEE!! lol jk

  • MAN THAT FRIDGE IS FUNNY AS SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I seen this movie for the first time, i thout that the fridge scene was funny. It still makes me laugh.

  • wow this movie is fucked up.....she needs to stop eating those pills....

  • Aint she suppose to be drinking them or something instead of chewing em? Wow lolz.................

  • SHIT THAT SCARED ME!

im not getting food out in my fridge for long...

  • wtf that freak me out seriously this scenes is fuckin scarier then over 90 percent of the horror movies.

  • @stacetheface47 The crazy thing is, after using too much amphetamines(her diet pills) consistantly this shit actually happens. Unfortunately I know from experience.

  • Pills here!! *reaches for the pills*

  • damn l4d haha

  • ah the fridge is scary as hell

  • omg this part scared the shit out of me

  • lol that guy on the TV is Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore.

  • hell nooooooo

    did the fridge just growl

  • i had a bad trip like this when i did a gram of speed in a day n didnt sleep for 5 days straight on the 5 day iwas haluicanted some weird fucked up shit worse than acid trip

  • , try some shrooms... if acid gets u going badly get a mate to give u weed, it will chil u out

  • no coke is the best solution for a bad trip.

  • Comment removed

  • or valium maybe..... whatevers available just a little bit though don't overdo it

  • i know the feeling haha

weird too cuz it even scarier than movies nowadays. God, i love this movie

  • Comment removed

  • LOL LMAO AT THE FRIDGE!!!!!

i guess its a hallucination brought on by her pills....cause she isnt eating anything to watch her figuere. she was tempted by the fridge... kinda scary too....

  • the lady is hot

  • what the hell is up with the fridge,,,,,,this is moer scary than most of the stuff we have today and it aint even got half as much of the special effects

  • scary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • miss burstyn looks so lovely on the game show. that fridge is creepy though!!

  • I love films like Requiem. It's proof that you don't need complex editing in order to create an effective scene. The audio just works so wonderfully here.

  • sweet vidio

  • awesome
