@Zei33 if you're bad at BFBC2 then I don't think this is the game for you, really. It's a lot less fast-paced then both BC2 and Cod. But if you're interested give it a try anyways. For me RO2 is a totally different beast then BC2
@SShichiroukun yeah, it's not so much i'm bad as much as, i've played 8 matches and don't seem to be half way through level 1 and have only killed 5 people this whole time while i've been killed about 26 times lol. I feel that I am getting more used to hiding in bushes now though.
There is nothing wrong with xbox live in windows 8, if you don't like it don't use it. I think it will be good, and let me easily keep in contact with xbox friends when I'm on the PC. I fucking hate it when PC gamers treat anything to do with consoles like a gangrenous limb (That may have been a terrible nonsensical simile but my point still stands). Maybe it would be better as a downloadable application rather than being integrated, but does it really matter?

@LightninLew, i guess its not the players fault, but it most certainly is the HW's and the systems fault. it's all because consoles are mistaken for a standard system, and everything else is modeled over it, which by default is a dreadful idea. games now have a certain length which is basically measured by blueraydiscs and their capacities. thats one reason why DLC's exist. how about netgames? all consoley setups there with lobbies etc. how about consolitis in general?
Also, after a year of mw2. I played the original crash bandicoot. DEAR LORD! It was the worst playthrough ever. I used to be really good at crash. Could beat the first AND second in a single day, now I suck... Even Kingdom Hearts, or Final Fantasy VIII, just kept making bad mistakes with items and abilities, kept dying. Used to play so much better.
The first cod I ever played was cod4. I was not into shooters and war games when I was younger. Now, I played the campaign a good 7 times, 3 on veteran. Then I played online. For around 30 games straight, I did not get a kill. But, on my 31st game, I finally got my first kill with the pump-shotgun. It made me feel extremely achieved, so much that I shouted in the mic about it. Now when I play cod (mw2 mostly) I tend to go positive by at least 25kills, and it just doesn't even make me smile.

my laptop is $1200, then I installed new ram into it bought a cooling pad bought a new graphics and video card and then i put in all of my peripherals in the end the laptop cost me $3000 (rough estimate)

The zombie game chat was interesting, i dont exactly understand how you make games exactly, but i feel like if a company would finally listen to their fans (unlike call of duty) and fix things, and just do things that seem right for what the community wants, that game would completely rule the genre and that company would be all powerful and maybe more companies would listen to their customers instead of OH MW2 IS BROKEN? @Whatfriendsr4 you don't need a 2000 dollar computer to play games well. I paid 400 for mine and I can play everything maxed. And will be able to for atleast till next year ends.
@SShichiroukun Euros are still worth more than dollars, wich in turn, dollars are worth more than my currency, its not easy to get expensive computers in countries like Brazil without saving a bunch of money, consoles here are actually cheaper than anywhere else, however.

a game i would like is a Harry Potter MP game, if it had a similar engine to maybe Red Dead then i would be chuffed, roleplay would be fun, say you start at level 1 with Expelliarmus, and as you level up you learn more spells, and you can do genres and lessons to improve your spells, it would be pretty cool
RO is an amazing game, and incorporates real issues like bullet ballistics. Want to hit that enemy halfway across the match? If you think just having them in the sight is enough you're wrong. You have to aim up because bullets don't go straight, they go straight down. These are the kinda things that forge real gamers - challenges. Anything else is an arcade.

Anyway, You should try Sniper Elite, its one of the best games I have ever played - far better than that so called 'Sniper:Ghost Warrior". Its got bullet ballistics, wind, heartbeat, adjustable explosion radius from realistic to Hollywood, Sound effects - like shooting when a bomber flies over masks the sound of your shot... etc :D

just another thing that adds to how great this game is. I play it and getting a kill makes you feel amazing. There's been times when I lead charges into a german defense and somehow live - that is an amazing feeling. There's been times when I get 5 kills before I die and wow... RO2 is very satisfying after you get over arcade habits.
@danorambo Emulators like he said. Emulators allowed you to play games on platforms they weren't built for. You often find a lot of Mario emulators meaning you can play it on PC xP

Consoles are made as a gaming platform that can play state of the art games, without a high cost. That is the whole consept. If a state of the art Gameing pc would be cheaper than a console, then why would you buy the console? Theres simply no logic in your statement.
Why not have an open world zombie game based around building a civilization. i.e fencing an area off creating a safe haven. Find survivors, building matts and such.
I think I would really enjoy a singleplayer, open-world, Shadow of the Colossus-esque, survival zombie game with Oregon Trail-style random events combined with Guild Wars 2-type Dynamic Events and Minecrafty elements where you have to build your own house, weapons, vehicles, etc. additionally combined with Left 4 Dead-ish special infected Boss zombies just for good measures! *breathes* Holy run-on sentence Batman.

Unless consoles in Europe are stupid expensive. In the US a average PC can go for 400-600 dollars while the PS3 is 350 or lower. Another thing, the PC would not be more powerful then a console. The console is a hard drive, R.A.M., and fans. Thats a major reason as to why you don't have to install to play.
@HohHoch What???? Largest leap ever?? Since the first Crysis th graphics are stal. No change. Crysis 1 is still the best there is. And thats 4 years old. No change at all. Quite the opposite. Graphics got worse over the last years. And you can do so much more with your pc. Its only coming to the graphics card to build your gaming pc. And even a 70 Dollar card is more capable then a ps 3. And with every game beeing 10 to 30 dollars less expensive you have that money back in in no time.

@HohHoch Really.. Oh well. Deus Ex 3 has no dynamic lightning. Something that was standart 6 years ago. Crysis 2 doesnt have full environment physics that was standard in Crysis 1 5 years ago. And that goes on and on and on. And things like AI and such get also dumbed down because they try to get some more effects that consoles are just not capable of showing unless you dumb down other things.
@baronsengir187 You think that perhaps that would be a choice for the developer? Look at skyrim, it will have all those things and more, and it will be better! As well as other randomly generated events that will be running throughout the game. The Console will handle it just fine. Crysis 2 and Deus Ex 3 is a choice of the developer. Not what the systems "can and can't" handle.
RO2 can indeed be a bit tricky at first. Need to remember the basics like running from cover to cover and to often go prone if not in cover or inside a building. Staying hidden is very important when weapons are deadly. :)

Multi player gaming on an Xbox is infinitely easier than on a PC. Most PC games have a horrific matchmaking system. I'm a hardcore PC gamer, but what little use my Xbox gets, it always works and is always fun.
Insulting console gamers is like insulting people who make 20,000 a year when you make 40,000... it's just wrong to attack people for how much they make. Just like TB said, it lets you play the game, it might not let you play it on full graphics, but it lets you play the game. I loved Final Fantasy 11 because they opened it up to consoles, not because I didn't have a PC that could handle it but because I could play it in the comfort of my bedroom. Lazy? Yet. Convenient? Yes! Thats all...

my laptop is $1200, then I installed new ram into it bought a cooling pad bought a new graphics and video card and then i put in all of my peripherals in the end the laptop cost me $3000 (rough estimate)

The zombie game chat was interesting, i dont exactly understand how you make games exactly, but i feel like if a company would finally listen to their fans (unlike call of duty) and fix things, and just do things that seem right for what the community wants, that game would completely rule the genre and that company would be all powerful and maybe more companies would listen to their customers instead of OH MW2 IS BROKEN? HERES A BRAND NEW GAME WHERE WE MIGHT HAVE FIXED THINGS.

a game i would like is a Harry Potter MP game, if it had a similar engine to maybe Red Dead then i would be chuffed, roleplay would be fun, say you start at level 1 with Expelliarmus, and as you level up you learn more spells, and you can do genres and lessons to improve your spells, it would be pretty cool

RO is an amazing game, and incorporates real issues like bullet ballistics. Want to hit that enemy halfway across the match? If you think just having them in the sight is enough you're wrong. You have to aim up because bullets don't go straight, they go straight down. These are the kinda things that forge real gamers - challenges. Anything else is an arcade.

Anyway, You should try Sniper Elite, its one of the best games I have ever played - far better than that so called 'Sniper:Ghost Warrior". Its got bullet ballistics, wind, heartbeat, adjustable explosion radius from realistic to Hollywood, Sound effects - like shooting when a bomber flies over masks the sound of your shot... etc :D

@Pyroguekenesis See that is a game I can love, and battlefield has balllliiisstiiccs but not realistic to the point balllliisstiiics.
just another thing that adds to how great this game is. I play it and getting a kill makes you feel amazing. There's been times when I lead charges into a german defense and somehow live - that is an amazing feeling. There's been times when I get 5 kills before I die and wow... RO2 is very satisfying after you get over arcade habits.

Why not have an open world zombie game based around building a civilization. i.e fencing an area off creating a safe haven. Find survivors, building matts and such.

I think I would really enjoy a singleplayer, open-world, Shadow of the Colossus-esque, survival zombie game with Oregon Trail-style random events combined with Guild Wars 2-type Dynamic Events and Minecrafty elements where you have to build your own house, weapons, vehicles, etc. additionally combined with Left 4 Dead-ish special infected Boss zombies just for good measures! *breathes* Holy run-on sentence Batman.

@baronsengir187 In the past 5 years games have done the largest leap then they ever have! Also 350-400 euro PC is already more then a xbox or other console. Unless consoles in Europe are stupid expensive. In the US a average PC can go for 400-600 dollars while the PS3 is 350 or lower. Another thing, the PC would not be more powerful then a console. The console is a hard drive, R.A.M., and fans. Thats a major reason as to why you don't have to install to play.

@HohHoch What???? Largest leap ever?? Since the first Crysis th graphics are stal. No change. Crysis 1 is still the best there is. And thats 4 years old. No change at all. Quite the opposite. Graphics got worse over the last years. And you can do so much more with your pc. Its only coming to the graphics card to build your gaming pc. And even a 70 Dollar card is more capable then a ps 3. And with every game beeing 10 to 30 dollars less expensive you have that money back in in no time.

@HohHoch Really.. Oh well. Deus Ex 3 has no dynamic lightning. Something that was standart 6 years ago. Crysis 2 doesnt have full environment physics that was standard in Crysis 1 5 years ago. And that goes on and on and on. And things like AI and such get also dumbed down because they try to get some more effects that consoles are just not capable of showing unless you dumb down other things.

As well as other randomly generated events that will be running throughout the game. The Console will handle it just fine. Crysis 2 and Deus Ex 3 is a choice of the developer. Not what the systems "can and can't" handle.

RO2 can indeed be a bit tricky at first. Need to remember the basics like running from cover to cover and to often go prone if not in cover or inside a building. Staying hidden is very important when weapons are deadly. :)

Multi player gaming on an Xbox is infinitely easier than on a PC. Most PC games have a horrific matchmaking system. I'm a hardcore PC gamer, but what little use my Xbox gets, it always works and is always fun.

Insulting console gamers is like insulting people who make 20,000 a year when you make 40,000... it's just wrong to attack people for how much they make. Just like TB said, it lets you play the game, it might not let you play it on full graphics, but it lets you play the game. I loved Final Fantasy 11 because they opened it up to consoles, not because I didn't have a PC that could handle it but because I could play it in the comfort of my bedroom. Lazy? Yet. Convenient? Yes! Thats all...
