To be fair to Jays fans though, I can kind of understand the feeling toward Burnett. If I were a Jays fan I probably wouldn't boo him, but his time in Toronto was much like Pavano's in NY. And I understand the frustration of the fans because even if you guys had money to spend you're still contending with NY and Boston and a good, young Rays team who just went to the WS in 2008. The AL East is no cake walk and a good team is always left out of the playoffs in that division.

A.J. pitched a fantastic Game 2 in the World Series to tie the Series at 1 apiece for the Yankees. How many first pitch strikes did he have, something like 18-20? He was brilliant and shut down the Phillies that night. I don't fault him much for Game 5 because he had only pitched on short rest a few times a very long time ago.

When it comes to the 92/93 Jays, I think often times Cito receives a little too much credit for their success. The Blue Jays had the highest payroll in baseball both those years and had great players, so I think almost any coach would have been able to do the same as Cito.

Halladay and Burnett were probably the most dominant #1 and #2 starters this past year. Burnett is a great pickup for the Yankees - when he's on, he's on. Halladay is more of a groundball pitcher, but A.J. is all about the K's. The Yankees rotation looks pretty sick this year, it should be interesting to see how well they do.
