What you fail to see here is that Guthrie is playing the solo, but he isn't using the same techniques. Where Morello weazels himself through this solo with a switch, a gizmo, Guthrie relies on nothing but his technique. That's what people are impressed with. Nobody is denying Morello writing credits Nimrod...
