Good stuff! I bought mine for about the same price and it is a game, so taking it a part was kinda of hurtful, but worth it! (My copy was not sealed just the pieces and other stuff were sealed).
Im lucky, I have a mint condition one with one expansion pack, paid $10 buck in the early 90's. Now I see there going for around $200+ for a brand new set and around $80+ for a used set ( might have a few missing pieces) and if you really wanna blow some, buy directly through amazon and pay $799.00 for a brand new copy.
this is damn awesome the best boardgame ever made, its soo old and the prime father of all role playing games !!the second is starquest/space crusade the follower i still have the two !!^^
We played the HELL out of this game when I was a kid. We even bought the expansion with the Witch Lord. Eventually when I got into miniature painting for a while during my High School years, I decided to prime and paint all the figures from both boxes. I still have them somewhere in my basement fully painted.
it's easy to say that this is super dorky, but i'm actually almost jealous of the fact that you found this game NOW in such good condition. i used to play this game so much whenever i was in elementary school. there was another game called BATTLE MASTERS that was almost the same thing, but it was on this huge 'battlefield' mat. anyway, AAAA+++++ for posting this up. it really does bring back nothing but good memories of the early 90s.
my girlfriend hates my "miniature hobby and board games" like HQ,warhammer, mordheim etc......she tolds me that i am to old to "play with toys"ehhhhhh.....hard life
I got this game on my 10th birthday... some year later i bought 2 expansions.......i havent thought about this game for a long time...i dont even remeber where it vent..... its gone now =(
i LUUUUUUUUUV THIS GAME! im 14 yrs old right now... an i got my heroquest when i was like 9 at "good will" i think for like 75cents .. .
i still have it also.. i never played it when i was younger, but now my friends come over and we play it all the time.. it really is fun. we write our own quests and stuff. :D you should try it! uber fun.
Wow, I'm 27 and I had this game when it first came out and I had so much fun with it. I'm really glad to see kids in this generation getting as much fun out of it as I did.
GASP... SACRILIDGE YOU NEVER PUT YOUR HERO QUEST ON THE FLOOR THAT'S HOW IT GETS BROKEN OH MY GAWD I SMELL BURNING TOAST I THINK I'M HAVING A STROKE lol... hope ya'll have fun i made my friend, who introduced me to the game, hate it because anytime i came over i wanted to play it lol
I still have this game and also space crusade, so much memories playing this game, thanks for posting this video, if anyone thinks heroquest is for dorks needs to come face to face with me so i can rip your fuckign face off and shit down your neck.
I am not sure I relate to the violence, but in the new generation, video games & board games are for all ages. My grandparents play video games now. Anyone calling me a dork just hasnt found a video game they love so far. Once they do, they'll never see gaming the same way again.
