I think when people are too concerned with the genre of the "style" of a song they really miss the whole point of the art itself. I think the over-identification of genre/style in music deals directly with the tribal instincts of man. We want to know what team we belong to. Its better to identify on the highest level with yourself. As long as you do that it doesn't matter what this or that is... you're you and you know yourself in whatever you hear, wear, taste etc.

This is called Synth Pop, it's not Future Pop because Future Pop sounds faster and Future Pop lyrics don't deal with emotions, Synth Pop is more melancholic and makes you reflect about your life and about the way you feel.

Yes, God Module is good. Also Icon of Coil, Cesium 137, Angels & Agony, Assemblage 23... There's a lot of good stuff out there. This is really a good period for this kind of music. And I am old enough to have purchased Depeche Mode's Speak & Spell when it was brand new!

Die Musik von SE is schon nicht schlecht aber so wie Agonoize hatte sie ein gutes Album und sind dann in der Entwicklung stehen geblieben. die letzten Sachen waren immer das selbe und eher langweilig und etwas zum Nebenbei hören

@ ceph: Der Sound von SE ist zwar wirklich etwas melodischer geworden, aber das ist wirklich kein Problem. Die SE-Tracks sind immer noch flott, tanzbar, treibende Bässe, Top Stimme von Dennis...

Bei Aganoize, Feindflug, Combichrist etc geht es zwar immer noch "ordentlicher zur Sache", aber man muss auch bedenken, daß es Leute gibt, die Wert legen auf etwas mehr Melodie und vernünftiger verständlicher Gesang! Ich persönlich mag z.B. kein "Grunz-und-Gröhl-EBM"...nicht falschverstehen...^^
