  • Awesome vid. I wish the CSX A Line here in SC was that hot.

  • Awesome meets. The first two met at the same time and the last ended at the same time.

  • Carrollton is just east of WB Jct which I think stood for Wabash Junction and CA Jct like Camden Jct which was for the town of Camden. CA to Wb is around 29 miles. Hardin is about in the middle.of this stretch. This stretch has never had ATS because of Wabash passenger trains were not equipped with that. The psgr limit is still 90 from East Sibley to CA jct and from WB Jct to Ft Madison Iowa. Today a friend called me while on # 4 and said 90 running is still there according to his GPS.

  • @sneebly Oops yea sorry I meant east of WB junction, not CA. Thanks.

  • From Hardin to CA Jct the South main is owned by NS and has a 60 mph limit while the North track is BNSF with a 70 mph freight limit. Amtrak on North track can run 79 but only 60 on NS.

  • @sneebly Roger that. Is there any 90mph Amtrak running in the area still? I had thought they could do 90 through Carrollton just east of CA. Is that true?

  • That was awsome!!!!

  • Thats some good railroadin' . EXCELLENT job Tyler :)

  • Hey Tyler

How did get that kind of fotage i alway at crossing and i only see 1 somwtimes mabye 0.

  • It's all luck sometimes. Knowing where the busy spots are helps too ;)

  • That was awesome footage! Two meets at the same crossing is a great catch! Good work!

  • Thanks moonspots :) It was so very fun to see

  • Stuff like that makes me a bit jealous to be east of the Mississippi. That NS is juuust about the highest it will go in Columbus, Ohio, but those (I guess) westbound trains are a sight to see. I've seen it like that in Mazon, IL, Norborne, MO, etc. I'll have to railfan out there someday just to see it live. Great video.

  • Thanks Isaiah. 70mph is so much fun! You definately need to give the transcon a visit sooner or later... there is nothing else like it. And sorry i'm just now replying.

  • Tyler,

Those two westbounds were just screamin! Unbelievably good video!! If memory serves, the NYCLAC is the old Conrail TVLA. Nice job!

    Dave

  • Thanks for all the comments Dave! This is for sure one of my favorite videos. Your right, Conrails TVLA turned into the NYCLAC, except it might have been the QNYLA back then. I forget the date SF redid their symbols.

    Thanks man

  • i just love this video, i must have watched it over 10 times!

  • thanks! It's one of my faves fo show!

  • Nice Video! Those two Z trains were just flying down the tracks. No wonder the BNSF Southern Transcon is so popular with so many railfans.

  • Thanks! The high speeds are what seperate this line from all others. That is why I like! :D

  • Flying meets are awesome to catch, the only problem that i dont like is you dont get to enjoy 2 trains. Have to wait a little longer but hey, its better than working....lol

Nice catches, going to have to head out when it gets cooler out

  • Watching a freight slowly make its way over the crossing then out of no where pops a 60+mph intermodal is magical to me. It makes the intermodal seem that much faster and is SO DANG IMPRESSIVE!

At those times I always find myself thinking how come there's so few railfans out there and why the locals aren't sitting in their cars in awe with their mouths hanging open.

    I'm kinda wierd tho :D

  • Awesome Video !!! 5*

  • Cool, thanks!

  • Awesome, love to see these train haul ass

  • Yes, me too! I'm glad you like!

  • Great vid, this got me to subscribe!

  • Thanks a lot bud!

  • I don't, but I do believe it is the ZWSPSBD.

  • cool

  • have caught the schienders at wb
