  • Where is tripod?

  • cool. i like that toy.

  • So were's J.F.K and the Jappines destroyer???

  • is that a rising sun on that flag? pt-15 was an American boat isn't it?

  • @scratchresistant Yeah, it was.

  • Sweet,i'm building one myself, she is 1:12 scale and is 72 inches from stem to stern,i have a long way to go still, have to scratch build everything, you should see the scaled down hydroflite prop i made in bronze, its so sweet.i'm using a 3 hp 2 stroke blower engine with 1/4 scale servos.

  • hi do u know A WEBSITE i can buy this boat from thanks

  • Beautiful RC PT boat, great music!

  • what song is that?

  • It's from the soundtrack of "war of the worlds".

  • Nice choice of music but the Thunderchild is a steam powered Ironclad Ram. Beautiful pictures by the way.

  • really it was a torpedo boat? i did not know that, thaks.

  • the thunder child is a battle ship not a PT boat, but other than that the models is pretty good.

  • Actually, the Thunder Child was explicitly described by H.G. Wells as an ironclad torpedo-ram.

  • The "Thunderchild" is an early 20th century battleship not a late 20thC torpedo boat.

  • shouldn't it ram a tripod, then get blown up?

  • could you send me the video so i can download it to my phone so i can show some people what I am building now

  • contact me through my profile and let me know your email address. I will send you the video then.

  • just started building the pt-15 would like to see pictures of the workings inside

  • sorry, it's not my rc so cannot take pics.

  • too fast... otherwise, very nice.

  • This is a 1/40 Pt15 from "Robbe".

I bought it about 27 years.

It was about 24 years in a cardboard, after cleaning it looked very good.

I will restore it and then equip.

It is no longer to buy and very popular.

  • Was that the Tamiya kit? The "Japan torpedo boat PT-15? If so how did you go about converting this to R/C

  • I'm not 100% sure as it's not mine, but I don't think it's a Tamiya kit.

  • yes you cant converting to rc tamiya have two pt 15s une older its most favorite to converting to rc the new one you cant work a little more but is easy too converting to rc

  • the thunderchild is definitly pre dreadnought.

  • I dunno mouch about ships but it was definetly a pre drednaugt ship.

  • It would be great if you could get a little model steamer as well, find something to represent the Martian constructs, and have a little reenactment of the actual battle. With the music of course.

  • Not a bad vid but I do have to say this. Thunderchild was probably a pre-dreadnought battleship.

  • The Thunderchild was an Ironclad Torpedo Ram. Basically it steams forward at full speed and smashes into things with a specially reinforced ramming spike on the front.

  • I LOVE this man!

I Love PT's, I never much liked this class, till i saw your vid, thank you, very much man.

  • Great video, just wondered if you could tell me what radio control system is being used with the boat?

  • LMAO with the music! The music fucking rules so much.

  • Good video arrangement, hoping that you would be a film director. The song is good, may I know what name it is? This boat is a Robbe 1/40 PT15,so it comes with no spray strips which are essential for this hull.Build spray strips which could improve the planning performance as well as cornering.(just a friendly suggestion)

  • thanks! the song is taken from soundtrack "war of the worlds".

  • Just one piece of advice. the nose number should match the designation number. Otherwise, Fantastic. Anold sailor. =Stefan=

  • Where can I get it?
