it's not sloppy, it's called ruberto (not sure of spelling). it literally means 'robbing the time' and is used to display passion and individuality, the escences of music. not everything on the sheet has to be played perfectly as written, that's what music's about. if a musician doesn't realize that, then thier talent is a waste.
put your head up, don't slouch! great job though, you should have done it with the music(unless that's the music, in the background) that would prevent a lot of mistakes from being even possible, and it would also have given you something to look at.
