  • Its good for some not for others like any new idea. What's funny is how again the same ladies who always claim they're broke and don't fair pay and are single moms, and don't have as good a retirement benefit plans as men.. blah blah blah...they've got 500 bucks to waste on whether they're hair is frizzy. Its BS, now I think ill go buy another property with the cash I saved...ladies, there's also a sale at Kohls...hurry

  • @jsgivens3 At the time of doing it, it isn't healthy no. But in the long term you don't have to straighten your hair everyday so really you end up saving your hair damage on a daily basis.g

  • This product also causes cancer so good luck to you all that r planning on having it done because its not safe

  • This products can be found on line all under 250 it can be done at home

  • LOL what a waste, she should eat more healthy foods and she wouldn't have shit hair.

  • im getting this on thursday.. Im so excited!

  • So wait i was told that this is a treatment for dry hair you know to make it moisturized... i have already straight hair and i was looking to see if this would help how dry my hair is. so is this not a good choice for me? is it just for people who want to tame frizzy/curly/wavy hair?????

  • RESEARCH befor judging

i'm planing to get a brazillian blowout soon so i knew i had to read up on this first to make sure it really is safe.

there are some products that do contain formaldehyde and yes they are bad for you so DONT use those. some that claim not to have the chemical have a diff chemical called methylene glycol which can release formadehyde gas when heated! but the product used in this video has a new formula clled ZERO which has neither chemical and is tested to be safe

  • DAMNNN!!!!! That's sick! and it's not thhhaaattt expensive for FOUR months!

  • I thought a brazillian blowout was what happened when u forget to wax your vajayjay for a month, my bad... horrible name for any product for your hair. I'm not getting it done til they change the name

  • get the fuck outta here $600 ? uh-uh forget it just buy anti friz

  • what??? how are some of you saying "it saves my hair from damage"??? and the rest of you are actually confused if you experience some damage. are you serious? you can't avoid damage when you're applying extreme chemicals and heat to your hair and/or scalp! you have to use a 450degree flat iron on your hair in this process...i rarely cook my food in an oven that high! look at how many times he applied heat to that chicks hair...not healthy! this process is not healthy! don't do it!!!

  • @jsgivens3 if someones hair is frizzy and already damaged it doesnt matter if they damage it further for it to look pretty, since it's dead anyway.

  • The brazilian blowout is like a relaxer but it fades after around 3-4 months depending on how much you shower. The only part of ur hair that will be frizzy is at the top where it grows in during the 3-4 months. I just got it done and it made my hair go from frizzy dry and fluffy to flat straight and gorgeous. All i do now is blow dry or just let it dry natural unlike before when it took almost an hour to flat iron it!!

  • I got it done and I love it! It took about 2 hrs (i've got a lot of hair) and cost $150 and it was worth every penny. My hair is so silky smooth, I've gotten so many compliments. It's awesome!

  • look up brazilian blowout recall on here. the blowout produces more formaldehyde than deemed safe. OSHA recognizes formaldehyde as a carcinogen. The FDA has received complaints of eye irritation, breathing problems and headaches associated with a product used to straighten hair. It has also caused damaged hair, hair loss, and even baldness. My dad is a hair stylist and has warned me about this. Please save hair from damage before it is too late!

  • Did you guys pay attention at all? If you're having to leave the product in for 4 days before shampooing then you didnt get the real Açai brazilian blowout The entire process is suppsoed to last only 90 mins...not 4 days.

You had the keratin treatment done.

The latest brazilian blowout product called free doesnt have the formaldehyde in it.

  • @baybri510 the only way to fix this is cut your hair or trim :/

Be sure to use a heat protective heat spray and hair serum to protect your hair from heat damage: but maybe you want to start wearing your hair curly so you dont have to straighten it often?

  • Please do not waste your money! I did this and it does not work! My hair is the frizziest it has ever been and more damaged now than it was before. I had to leave the product on my hair for 4 days and it was so thick and greasey I could not get brush through. The only thing it did was relax my curls! Also, when the stylest is applying the smell is horrible and it burns you eyes.

  • Gotta love my asian hair :D Don't have to worry about all this crap :D hell yeah! lol

  • This product has been pulled out of salons all over the world. It contains formaldehyde! .1% which is more than the FDA allows and is lethal. Watch the stylist as he's drying and straightening. The acrid smoke is stinging his eyes!

  • Ok, I guess my mind is just perverted but seriously, they couldn't have come up with another name besides Brazilian...Blowout?

  • @TokyoGeisha21 its translated from the brazilian word for brush which is escova. The term escova is used as slang for the action of blowdrying the hair straight using a hair drier and round brush hence blowing out the hair. They didnt make up another name because that is the original name of the process, it wasnt meant to be a sexual joke.

  • They just reformulated the product, and give it a different name. Its now called the Brazilian Blowout Zero!! It has 0%Formaldehyde... And it gives you the same fresh ,shiny finished look....

  • Chemicals. YUM!

  • i got a brazilian blowout its not that expensive i believe i paid around 150 for it and its an amazing salon and i live in chicago so you would expect to be more expensive since it is such a big and well known city but trust me its worth it and it doesnt damage your hair at all it reonstructs it. i wanted to get my hair perm straight but im so happy my hair saloniist recommended thist to me its saves me money, time, and it saves my hair from damage!!!!!!! I recommend it to everyone!!! :)

  • @Sonia1055 I am from Chicago too and am looking for somewhere to get it done but not spend more than I need to. Where did you get it done?

  • @Sonia1055 i agree i LOVE mine but for some reason i still get some damage >.<

  • @Sonia1055 wash All that heat is damaging your hair.

    solution

    blow dry

    flat iron

    wash again

blow dry and straighten hair again.

    *YOUR DAMAGING YOUR HAIR*

Yes the product will last but only at the ends of hair(its just like a relaxer), while your roots at the top of your hair grows in its natural texture. It going to make your hair pattern look weird as in straight at the end and curly at the roots. This product is exactly like a relaxer....

  • @Sonia1055 Hi! I too live in CHicago and am looking to have this done. Please, Please share which salon you went too. Also, where you able to wash your hair the next day? Thanks.

  • its got formaldehyde in it

  • i liked her hair before because it looked more natural and had more volume :) v. beautiful lady

  • This is REALLLLLLYY Bad for you. DONT GET IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO KILL YOUR HAIR STYLIST.

  • Get straight facts along with smooth hair! A "Chemical Source Capture System" removes formaldehyde & glutaraldehyde vapors from the sty;list's and clients breathing zone. "The One That Works" Salon Air Purifier further cleanses these vapors from the work station air. Special HVAC filters also can remove salon vapors, mists and dusts from the building's air. Search "The Hair Smoothing Contoversy" to learn more about 3 Zone Salon Ventilation.

  • I'm so happy I don't have to pay $200+ to get my hair like this!! NATURAL BEAUTY ;)

  • i want it but it costs too much :(

  • what about curly hair? mine ringlets , will i have straight hair afterwards or can i still be curly?

  • I want one!!

  • BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT GIVES YOU CANCER!!! THATS WHY CANADA STOP IT FROM ENTERING THE COUNTRY!! HAVE FUN WITH CANCER HOLLYWOOD!!

  • @lovealittle7 Everything causes cancer...

  • im brazilian and know this treatment very well, and know this treat, i know that some of the products were containing formaldehyde, most of the products now dont contain it or might have a very low percentage. its totally safe to use and definitely makes the hair healthy and shiny. i personally cant live without it ps WAY CHEAPER IN BRAZIL

  • hmmm. does your hair rever to the way it was before the blowout after 4 monthes? because as long as it reverts im willing to try this!

  • i wish i had that much money but im only thirteen and my mom would never pay for that

  • Just got the blowout today....i really like it! the process is SO long and the smell made my eyes burn and tear up like crazy but the results were worth it! :)

  • It took me four hours, but well worth it

  • DAMN $250-$600! OMG datz crazay! lol

  • Well i must say that I love my kinks and curls! her hair looks great, but why does society think that curls and kinks are a bad thing....?

  • @doejones20 so true. ppl need to be happy with what God gave them, i love my puffy crazy curly hair lol

  • @doejones20 makes me sad that curly hair is not getting any love.

  • @syn7000 i kno right!

  • yeahh i have heard bkt can cause cancer

  • brazillian blowout gives you cancer and causes your fair to fall out due to high levels of formaldehyde, a carginogen. beware!

  • Canada just ordered it pulled off the shelves! VERY dangerous- causes massive hair loss and breathing problems! Check out " Brazilian blowout problems"...

  • oh yeah, it is shameful how e news & hollywood push this stuff when it is totally not safe

  • @Papzilla Exactly what I was going to say. This girl could've gotten her hair just as straight with a proper flat iron. THAT'S IT! Like, to have heat damage ontop of chemical damage just ain't right. I wonder how this doesn't ring alarm bells to some people.

  • @jessie245 omfg this has actually been around longer than you think. ik many ppl who get it annually and nothing has gone wrong with them.

  • @neonberry512 Well they must have changed the formula or something because this is VERY damaging. A woman in my city got this process done @ a really good salon and 4 months later 50% of her hair has fallen off. I don't care how long this has been around it's a health risk and is just stupid. Heat damage over chemical damage is BAD.

  • @jessie245 really there is no chemicals im getting this done and ive done research hun its 100 percent safe girls!!

  • @itsaliibabii Even the company admits that there is some amounts of formaldehyde in it. Before they said that there was no formaldehyde and now thy're admitting that they LIED. Hairstylists in canada and the U.S. are saying they're getting complaints from their customers (yes, they are experienced). Honestly, a relaxer is even better than this. Do more research

  • this stuff is loaded with toxins. stay away. they dont even have a patent for this & it it certainly is not fda approved. heavy levels of formaldehyde. caution

  • There is 12% formaldehyde in it and people have been warned to not use it cause of health issues.

  • New testing shows that there is NO formaldahyde un this product. It is a miracle product and I love it! Offering this service at my salon in Vegas for 200$

  • @karliclarke WRONG. Go to Good Morning America's website and type in Brazilian Blowout. They just did a show on it the other day. Scientist did some testing on it and it has so much formaldehyde in it, that OSHA is stepping in. I think they said about 8-10 percent. Way over the limit and very dangerous. No wonder my eyes burned and I found it hard to breathe when I did it. Watch for a ban on this product in the near future.

  • From ABC news

Chemists at the Oregon Occupation Heath and Safety Administration and the Oregon Health and Science University's Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicology tested a sample from the complaining salon and from other salons in the area. They found that the samples contained significant levels of formaldehyde, even though the product was labeled as formaldehyde-free.

  • @clstern10 I used to bartend. Caught the owner filling premium brand liquor bottles with the cheap well alternatives. Maybe the salon owner is doing this with this product. Maybe a local beauty supply distributor is selling "counterfeit" product. Will be interesting to see what comes of this but to early to judge I think.

  • to bad it contains 10% of formaldehyde, ppl doing this are having medical issues.

  • I wanna try!

  • the best thing i have ever had done to my hair its amazing

  • woot! my salon does it for $150. i could never afford it if it was $600.

  • Wynn Resort salon in Vegas is the bomb.

  • @MaMaMeggy - So true Ma, we consumers have to have a cord of distrust because of the practioners deceit, ignorance, and greed. What ever you do request a strand & skin test. If they don't offer it or are hesitant know they don't care about you or your wellbeing. We all know our hair is the start and end of our day, how dare someone damage it when God says its our glory ;)
