@mrnares The second guy is using a brush to cut in where the slab butts up to a metal deck. There is no joint there. It is actually the end of the 14" thick slab. This is a pool deck over a parking garage. Could have actually skimmed it faster, but when you see me slow down, I am floating over divots in the slab. Thanks for the question.
this is very cool looking. May I ask..how slick is it when finished this way?..is there enough grip that when rained upon, cars will not slide too easily or people slip and slide?
@brofun this was just the 1st skim coat. next a tile pattern was taped out using fiber reinforced grout tape and then a spray down texture with Tru Coat multi-mix was applied. 2 accent colors were also speckled on top followed by two coats of Tuff Seal solvent based acrylic. There is NO slipping on an application like this. This was actually a commercial pool deck and commons area.
What did the second man do with the joint? Is it the sealant? Can it work properly after the coat was coated in a minute?
