I love the Dr. Dog version, and the first time I heard the original, I was in shock and didn't really like it. The more I listen to it, the more I prefer it to the cover. Regardless, they're polar opposites styles. You can enjoy both for different reasons, sillies.

I gotta say I kind of like both Dr Dog and this equally, I like the really nice angelic reverb used in this song it's epic but the vocal melody in Dr Dog is less harsh

the drum pattern in this one is more fun too, but overall they're different flavours of the same delicious cake

Comparing this version to the one by Dr. Dog is like comparing rap to bluegrass. Some people like one, some people like the other. They're just different. Dr. Dog didn't "bring out the intent" of this song, this song IS how AIH intended it.

AIH wrote the song. I personally like this version better, but whichever one you prefer, the Dr. Dog version is a cover, nothing more.
