This could just be his Portfolio for a job or services. So no tutorial here. That's what I thought.. But I know how its done. but its an advance technique. Play with blending modes and hue/saturation, Gradient map.. that's it..

It doesn't conform to any know style other then that it is a composisition made up of layer rendering or in other words digital compositing. All the artist has done is make a composite image consisting of a backgroud layer i.e the sea and the horses and redered another layer by using a gradient overlay to blend the two images.

This is a generic style that is used for many different type of advertisment or poster. A kind of mood or action sequence caught in still frame mode.

It gives the viewer a sense of depth when looking at a still image. It's almost like the image will burst into life in an instant.

A quality digital imager will be able to immerse his/her audience with a single frame if the composit image is rendered in such a way it catches your eye. You will look into the picture and feel the action happeneing, even tho nothing is. Thats the sign the artist has accomplised what they set out to achieve.

And yes, i am a fine artist and digital artist.

It's done by a series of stages...I,e - Channel Mixing, Gradient Overlays and the Burn Tool. Once you have decided on the Levels and Curves in the original picture, you can then go on and start blending other photos into the poster composition. To achieve some of the effects you can use screen and overlay from the blending menu. The Tats on their faces can be either drawn or used from another photo and pasted onto the skin, just use opacity and gradient overlays. Hope that helps.

The video is called "Movie Poster Photoshop Editing" - the author did not indicate he'll teach you anything... BTW: Talent doesn't come in a box. You need real artistic ability to excel in a program like photoshop and If you know the basics of the program, you wouldn't need this video explained.
