Why does it matter whether Kim Jonja is Korean or Japanese? I just love her music. The fact that she is not Japanese makes me admire her even more because it is not easy to interpret enka if Japanese is not your mother tongue.
alexphj; the reason why Kim sings Misora Hibari's songs is nothing strange. Misora Hibari herself was, although you might want to deny it, in fact, a daughter of Korea father. She was so called Jai Nichi (Koreans in Japan). Misora herself didn't reveal this secret of her identity until the last moment she diled, though. It was all becasue of the secregation and enminty against Jai Nichi in Japanese Society.
