  • Procol Harum had bad luck with their timing... A lot of wonderful bands back then.

  • Anybody that likes the Hammond parts by Matthew Fisher should check out the great Detroit band SRC, with the Quackenbush bros. on B3 and guitar with the most searing reverb sustain you'll ever hear.

  • Great song - and I love the "Satisfaction" riff :) Procol Harum have to be THE most under-rated band ever - they are just SO much more than Whiter Shade Of Pale, which frankly I'm pretty bored with as it's way over-played on the radio ...

  • makes you want to get up and dance

  • wooooooooooooooooooooow!

  • That wailing organ is hypnotic, love the frenetic pace of the song, Gary Bookers vocals, the whole package is off the richter scale in excellence.

  • the band in the image is the seventies version. matthew fisher played the organ on the track. b.j wilson is the drummer

  • Absolutely love this song too. The long instrumental in the middle is sheer genius. Thanks v. v. much for posting.

  • I love this song. One of my favourite PH song. Greetings from Hungary.

  • Frick the British-they didn't send any artistic talent to the colonies!

  • Live version at Isle of Wight festival on new 4 disc PH compilation (3cd one dvd) ALL THIS AND MORE.

  • when did this song come out quality song

  • That is an amazing record. That last chord shouldn't exist in 1967.

  • Get Pandoras Box CD to hear this in wonderful stereo - here and nowhere else.

  • yeah, but it'll cost 'em £25 plus now cos i snapped up the last cheap one on amazon a few weeks ago. quality band. so over looked.

  • Love this track .Thanks so much for posting it and the pictures too. Excellent, they were one of the most underated bands of the 60s' and ironicaly had their biggest sucess with Whiter shade of pale which got played to death on radio at the time.

  • awesome ! and complemented by the Vancouver band Seeds of Time, who performed "Kaleidoscope" on TV in 1968. Great to hear the original.

  • Freaking fabulous band and song, greatness!
