  • I have only one regret after listening to this...........Now what? Performances like this claim a piece of musical territory that is unique in its utter brilliance. Only one Clapton? Surely God missed a trick there.

  • It is one of my most favorit songs , the live is burning like the blaze ! Clapton is so good to annotate the sadness 。 You can feel his heart and the emotion 。。。

  • 6:14-6:47, what a climax!

  • DAMN!!! Clapton, Gadd and Preston really give it some in this spectacular performance. This is true music.

  • not one solo is the same when it comes to clapton live!

  • Your challenge is to try and pick the best from a bunch that levels out at awesome!

  • I never thought George Clooney could play drums...

  • got chills during the solo

  • woah man, serious chills. specially at the 7:29 mark.

  • Uh... Very nice... Very sensitive... Very simple, and yet so soulful. That's why he's great. Steve Gadd is great.

  • nevermind im stupid i got it..lol

  • definitely my favourite version! massive song!

  • these guys are some of the best in the world!

  • gotta love billy preston.

  • beautiful tune--anyone who does not have this 2cd/dvd compilation you need to get it!!! EC at his best.

  • What is the name of this EC dvd?

  • It is called "One More Car, One More Rider" It is a two disc set and comes with a DVD

  • Thanx

  • What a performance! What a man, what a band! 5* for this!

When I was born, people wrote on the wall "Clapton is god". And by god: look at this and you know: that´s true.

Thanks for all Eric, god bless you.

  • This song shows u don't need millions of notes to make a beautiful song. U can sense the feeling all of the band has with this song.

  • More towards the start of the song i mean. And i totally agree with Icoping about the expression of Gadd at 7:38

  • and he has got a style

  • eric is awesome ! xd.

  • He has blues in his soul!!! there maybe technicaly better guitar players, but not with the same feeling!

  • few understand but him and me

  • He was taught by the best unnamed blues players my friend. Those that aren't recognized. He just perfected the Blackmans blues to be heard by whites. Where do you think the blues came from England with your jollyup? It came from way downnnnn the Delta!. He picked it up & made it even better!!! Thank you Bluesman from Missiissspppii or however you spell it!!

    ~a Canadian.

  • Greatest guitarist ever.

  • clapton is the one and only, blues man of the 21 first century................period....i have seen him at least 12 or 13 times, all .first row to 4th row. concert of pilgrim. i ,belive george harison was at side stage. in charlotte n.c. ........mybe 91 or 93..... clapton is the best guitar ,blues player in the world. thats just my opinion. its a knows fact that he can hit notes ,that the best of players can not even come close to. slow hand rules. what he

  • Got myself a nice new set of headphones. Plugged them into the computer. Chose this piece of Clapton (and band) brilliance to test them on. What was brilliant on my old 'phones is now absolutely detrimental to all those who fancy their chances of emulating this bunch of pure genius. So many highlights in 9:07 of music. Gadd's face at 7:38 ish-no effort spared for the cause. Cheers Georgemacedo.

  • One of the best song of Clapton. Probably, the best version ! I've heard it before from Clapton and Friends concert, but I liked it more. Thenk you George Macedo !

  • so sad about his son

    rip billy preston

  • Best version I've heard, fantastic.

  • i love you

  • If there's a clapton tune that is supposed to make you crey, this is the one

  • oh my Gadd!

  • wat more can u say after having the privilege to hear this... he pours out his soul in this song.. i have heard so many amazing clapton songs and solos.. but this has something more.. the emotion in his voice is moving. r.i.p billy preston

  • I got this DVD at home. With 2 audio CDs included, it was really cheap, a steal! This song always makes me choke up inside. First time I heard it - it brought me to tears. Where's my strat...

  • I was born a Clapton fan and think he's an amazing songwriter and guitarist. Layla is my #1 EC favorite, but River of Tears comes a very close 2nd. There is just SO much emotion crammed into this song and is one of the most moving songs in rock history.

  • =)

    nice turtle !

    ...

  • clapton is amazing plus his style and billy preston's playing fit 2gether so well great song RIP Billy Preston

  • great song with perfect musicians......

  • This song always gets to me... River of tears indeed!

  • I can feel emotional pain in Eric's voice.

    Awesome music!

  • Oh. My. God! I have always loved this song, but to see and hear this version justs slays me.Everyone on that stage is very present & passionate. It starts so softly and Steve Gadd does his magic in supporting EC's build to the friggin-out-of-my-mind! emotional pain and physicality of the song. And dear Billy! Don't we miss him? I once Flix'd this DVD. Time to buy a copy, I think. Thx for reminding me by posting this vid :-))))

  • gets me everytime

  • i'm just speechless after this song everytime. im not a huge clapton fan, but this is just amazing. so much pain and feeling in one song.

    thanks slowhand!

  • such an awesome song ..thanks for the upload!
