I have only one regret after listening to this...........Now what? Performances like this claim a piece of musical territory that is unique in its utter brilliance. Only one Clapton? Surely God missed a trick there.

Got myself a nice new set of headphones. Plugged them into the computer. Chose this piece of Clapton (and band) brilliance to test them on. What was brilliant on my old 'phones is now absolutely detrimental to all those who fancy their chances of emulating this bunch of pure genius. So many highlights in 9:07 of music. Gadd's face at 7:38 ish-no effort spared for the cause. Cheers Georgemacedo.

I was born a Clapton fan and think he's an amazing songwriter and guitarist. Layla is my #1 EC favorite, but River of Tears comes a very close 2nd. There is just SO much emotion crammed into this song and is one of the most moving songs in rock history.
