Fascinating! About the most idiosyncratic approach to Chopin that I've ever heard. It's so extreme I can't help liking it, although I'm almost ashamed to admit it! I can imagine it would cause outrage and indignation among purists, though.
Unfortunately, there are no recordings available except the LP that I have (which is listed among rare vinyls), no mention of him on YT.. Glad you've enjoyed it!
So beautiful. No matter how "idiosyncratic", it works within itself. So many thanks for the posting!

Whatever the "purists" say, this is a wonderful playing to my taste..
There're three other mazurkas, a ballade, and a rachmaninoff performance of him yet to be posted from the same LP..
By the way, have you listened to his Scriabin op.8 no.11 that I've posted couple of days back?

I have now, and I look forward to your forthcoming posts. This man has a highly individual style. I've never heard of him before.
By the way, is the thumping noise in the background from 0:41 to 1:58 on the original record or did it get in accidentally during your transcription?
