You missed the point. The point is that a public option is better than leaving people without coverage, both with education and health care. The US ranks relatively low in education? Imagine how low we would rank if we didn't even HAVE a public system? The majority of people don't go to private schools because they can't AFFORD to.

I'm not sure how much you make, but people in lower tax brackets often aren't even charged the price of schooling. And it isn't as if all of the money you DO get charged goes towards education. In fact, a fairly small proportion does. In most instances, the taxes that go towards education will not fully cover the cost of providing that education in the private sector.
and by the way, most of the "underclass" choose tto live the way they do and like being victims on welfare. i worked with the poor for 8 years in the worst conditions imaginable, and they are perfectly content with sitting around and letting the government(our taxes) feed them. and they dont give a fuck about their children. i have seen it first hand. they see public education as an 8 hour a day babysitter so they can smoke weed and drink all day. i like weed

If you read the bill in full it clearly does not support ANY PREEXISTING CONDITIONS. Also The Young Turks are completely wrong about this, the bill is used to crush out the ability to not have insurance which many people don't and are just fine, myself included. It is outrageous that the country is trying to tell the people to buy something or go to prison. Also, the government has and will send "thugs" to peoples homes and even murder people, i.e. Senator Nancy Schaefer. Read it for yourselves.

2) The option to keep & pay for private healthcare will not be an option for long because the government does not need to make a profit or pay taxes, so it will drive all private companies out of business & everyone will end up on government controlled care.

Sending American children to school is not "charitable giving." It's something that will improve our society and our economy.
I'm not sure how much you make, but people in lower tax brackets often aren't even charged the price of schooling. And it isn't as if all of the money you DO get charged goes towards education. In fact, a fairly small proportion does. In most instances, the taxes that go towards education will not fully cover the cost of providing that education in the private sector.

And by denying those children education, it only gaurantees that every one of them, or near enough, will end up in the same state as their parents, or worse. Don't these Republicans understand that you also have Republicans serving on these proposal committees also. I don't think that they would want to kill your grandma w/ death panels which are counsels on writing living wills or a sick child like Sarah Palin's in which she had to retract because that was untrue.
