Cont. We decided to have worship music instead of the typical pieced that most folks were used to hearing a weddings. My father-in-law took a copy of the video taken at the time to work and played it for his co-workers. He said that there wasn't a dry eye in the room after Marta sang this. Even the pastor had to compose himself because it was the first time he had heard it performed.
This performance by Lynn Siewart is very good. But, it was the performance by lesser known Marta Weineke during a c. 1990 6am Easter Morning service at Willow Creek that blew 4,000+ of us away. Her performance caused a spontaneous standing ovation (not normal for Easter worship) that must have lasted 10+ minutes. She actually had to come back out and perform another piece that was not planned. When my wife and I were planning our wedding, we decided to ask Marta to perform this and another.

As a baby Christian at Willow in the late 80's I can not get enough of "Ever Devoted"! Still moves me to worship. Thank you so much for posting!
