Freddie Mercury is an absolute genius no other artist except Elvis Presley come anywhere near. Lord Knows Neville Bardoliwalla ( Parsi too and Proud of it )
The rating I gave was because the film is shaky and somewhat blurry. Worth watching because of the song. Plus there are some awesome closeups of Freddie.
ive been to all the major gigs including this one. and queen are unbeatable live showmen they make the rest look like they dont know what they are doing.
Yes, it´s a mistake. Even on the officail release of the Wembley concert is mispelled In the Lap of the Gods. And, even in the booklet it has the lyrics of "In the Lap of the Gods" and "Seven Seas of Rhye" has no lyrics and it´s credited as an instrumental.
It's kind of weird - I just realized that the Seven Seas Of Rhye song on Live Magic is spliced together with this beginning "speech". Freddie says "Hello! This is what you wanted, this is what you're going to get!" It then goes right to him playing the intro to Seven Seas Of Rhye on piano.
Oh my stars....I was one of the very lucky few...I was there...little did I know It would be the last time they would ever perform together. Wow, must be 20 + years ago now....sigh! Thank you so much for this.
Thanks for all the footage posted GMACF1. Brings back the memories of being there! Managed to luckily see Queen 4 times live and thought the last show was never filmed by anyone. You should take all your footage and get it edited together by a film company who could clean it all up....it is part of history!! Thank you once again and thank you YouTube.
Read the comments about this wasnt filmed, it actually was, there were camera crews from HTV recording the event. I worked at the BBC back then, its understood though filmed the footage wasnt used, due to lack of light by the time they came on, as all will remember Queen came on late to stage as the other bands overan there slots, unlike Wembley which was filmed entirely in daylight. I'll throw it out there for discussion, but thats my understanding Love you Freddie never forgotten.
The reason it looks so similar to Wembley is because both concerts are from the same tour, IE the 1986 Magic tour. The wembley show was just over half way through the tour while this one is obviously right at thend.
There is NO official footage of this gig. Brian May recently stated on his website that it was filmed and showed simultaneously on the large screen but no one bothered to set the video recording! LOL (or something along those lines anyway)
This is amazing! Unfortunately this gig was never filmed cuz some pratts at the gig never put film in the cameras or on the end of the mixers, so it was never recorded. This is pricesless!
brilliant... I was there, yards from the front of the stage (John's side) in relative splendour (Brian's side was absolutely packed!) brings back memories! Many thanks :)
Hi, I'm going to upload the whole Concert, apart from Impromptu and Brian's guitar solo. Should be done by the weekend. Having a few lip-sync problems with some of the clips but you get that sometimes with YouTube.
I might be wrong but I don't think it was officially filmed apart from what is shown on the big screen. I've seen some proper footage of We Are The Champions but it's the exact same thing off the big screen. I think if they had recorded it proper then it would be on DVD by now, no question.
I'll upload some more clips tomorrow, but the quality is really bad in places. One vision is almost unwatchable but I will try and find the best bits.
wow! thank you for sharing. it's absolutely wonderful. so LIVE. i can't explain it really, but when i see e.g. Wembley concert (although it's amazing) I never get the feeling I've just had while watching this. Gosh, Freddie never ceases to amaze me.
Who knew it would be his last concert, and I am glad I was there too. Freddie Rest In PEACE.

There's a little mistake: The song isn't In the Lap of the Gods, but In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited

Would love to see a proper release of this. Fred sounds better here than he did at Wembley.

Umm, but only half of the Wembley concert was in daylight. The other half was pretty much pitch black outside.
