this is one of the best demo videos on you tube ,not mutch talk, this guy is doing the right thing letting the guitar sell its self. very nice playing,i detect a little phil keagy influence there.
yes so many fine acoustics out there, but this is one special sound,at this stage of my life ,i have seen and played so many different acoustics that i am not in to a pretty face any more ,just play ability, and dynamic sound.i some day would like to have a12fret long body bearclaw,on claro walnut ,red spruce braced,v shaped, mohog neck, slope shoulder custom guitar, with fosilized wally saddle, nut, and bridge pins.i realy like the walnut, and bearclaw sound, but wonder how it would flat pick, blue grass
You could be tone deaf and would still come to the realization this guitar sounds amazing.
Actually Id go further and say out of all the videos from guitar demos and manufacturers trying to hock their warez, this is the best sounding guitar Ive heard period.
this is one hell of a special sounding guitar, warm and clean even picking behind the soundhole, i have been after a guitar as responsive as this one, but never yet came across, not even the martin marquis come close when compared to this guitar, i wish i won this. its definately different sounding to a j-45, way better, lots more overtone, wow.......
I own one Santa Cruz 12 fret Dreadnought which is also a stunning guitar. Made to match Norman Blakes wishes but it´s exeptional for playing fingerstyle blues. Warm woody loud tone. I love my Santa Cruz and as much my Huss & Dalton TD-R. Two of the best there is!!
Kenny, inspiring - and this is just a demo. People, people: Martin, Santa Cruz, Takamine, Taylor, whatever...all beautiful instruments capable of projecting awe-inspiring sounds in the hands of a talented musician. There's no such thing as the "best" guitar. Granted, you would take a vintage Martin over, say, an Amigo. But in the end, a Martin or a Santa Cruz? At that point, the guitar chooses you.
I have a Santa Cruz H13 and a Santa Cruz OM. I live near Austin and have toured the collings factory, I owned a Martin D18 Golden Era and a D28, and traded them both in on the Santa Cruz's. There is no finer guitar made. They are hand built, and the tops and braces are hand tuned, with a production run of about 500 guitars a YEAR. Martin makes that many before breakfast. Clapton, Tony rice, and a million others, including Doc Watson play a Cruz.

lol..chill th fuck down man.. its just an opinion ..and btw, who the fuck said santa cruz way better than martin ? have u read article from almost all acoustic website ? martin hands down all the way..and better yet those taylor and takamine also slighlty better than santa cruz u dumb faggot fuck
I've haven't heard a Takamine so I can't comment on that, but saying that Taylor is better then Martin is retarded. The Martin is suppose to focus more on bass than the Taylor which is suppose to make a more high pitched sound.
I know Santa Cruz is better because I have tested both brand's models that are in the same price range and people besides me think the Santa Cruz is always on top. Some of them think the difference in sound quality is medium, but of course they are only beginners.
Santa Cruz didn't exsist during the Beatles, Eric Clapton uses a special custom guitar from Martin that is over a $500,000, and John Mayor is also probably using modified custom Martins. And by the way the Beatles usually were acting dumb because they were usually high. In fact they usually forgot their parts while recording because they were so high. But I do still love their music.
I love you videos! It's a nice change to see good guitars on you tube that are actually played the way they should be, with good amp and effect. Thanks
Ps. I think I'm going to buy a Duesenberg Double Cat here in Australia thanks to your video!
Really Nice Picking, too.
