I think my biggest complaint with Planet of the Dead was the "Peter Pan" soundtrack. Yes I know it wasn't really PP, but thats what it made me think of. It becomes less an outing with The Doctor and more of a super hero and good guys win the day in epic motion picture style sort of way.
Honestly, the trailer for WOMs was accompanied only by the ringing of the Kloister Bell, and the preview scenes that were released prior to WOM airing were music-less, and they were more scary to me and more DW-like. The music was no longer inserted to "compliment a scene," but more to "absorb the attention of viewers so less focus is on the plot/characters/dialogue/special fx.
ANOTHER totally awful story. Girl jumps off cliff in a spaceship, stops over a forcefield, Doc runs like a maniac yelling, girl hits red button to stop it. BVoring, silly and stupid! ANd what's next? The idea that came from a DW annual!
i was annoyed by the stingrays in general appart from the fact that they were right behind the bus they took ages to come through and only three also if theyre living faraday cages y did one get killed by an electric grid shield wtf
You know what LSmurf, I thought the exact same thing about Michelle Ryan (she'll always be Zoe Slater to me), she was so annoying, and I hated her over acting and her ever so posh voice, errr, yea. I suppose it was to add contrast to Ross and Donnas more cockny voices. Sadly I think Kylie Minougue did a better job. And the music was over the top too. It was an ok episode in my book, just ok, like 'The Next Doctor' nothing to special but entertaining enough.
I'd give it a 7/10. A very fun episode that lacked in the story. The part of the story that took place on San Helios was a little boring. The Tritovore didn't integrate into the story very well and only served to explain what was going on and provide a useful gadget. Once they served their purpose, they were killed off. It was still very entertaining.
I really enjoyed this episode. The acting wasn't up to scratch from the guest stars (Lee Evans and Michelle Ryan not included - they were brilliant). I liked the Tritovores and it was an interesting idea (Which was similar to "Midnight" :P)
Good vid, but what i want to know is what "it" is because she say's "IT is returning though the dark oh but doctor but then HE will knock four times" So does that mean just The Master or something else as well?
I loved the tweeting birds in the desert you were in, nice touch, was that the swarm?
Doctor Who was way better than the poor excuse for a comback of Red Dwarf. I enjoyed Planet of the Dead also but I fucking hate UNIT, why could Captin Jack & Gwen come over from Torchwood?
Tweeting birds was my back garden where i was filming cos its the only place the green screen works XD i decided there was no point overdubbing cos there could have been desert birds XP
Torchwood series 3 (Children of Time) will hopefully b out this summer, 5 episodes all shown in 1 week.
Didn't see Red Dwarf, wanted to but i was out for the 1st 1 :(
I don't mind UNIT all that much and Torchwood is all the way over in cardiff.

I was able to see this episode on youtube. I enjoyed it greatly. You have to love it when the Doctor hops a bus while eating a chocolate rabbit.

I liked this episode a bit. I mean, the character development was pretty bad, and the plot was a bit... yea.
You didn't really mention the Trilobites things... I thought they were pretty useless.
