I watched this from Australia - I know how you guys work so hard building great jumps (my son Aaron's done hours days and weeks of it - see "A Day at the Trails" Cambu, Scotland). You guys get so much fun from them and I'm so sad that all your hard work got bulldozed. Those officials just don't know how committed you are to your sport. Keep at it, find somewhere else. And vote! (BTW you'd look just as cool with helmets...sorry, I'm a Mum!)

These Eastlake "Officials" are IDIOTS. Growing up nearby in Euclid, we had a place like this at 260 and Lakeland. No one ever Died, or was seriously hurt, EVER! Now the City comes along and ruins this place for these kids....SAD....All teens need a place of their own, to be with friends and Grow together. I just read how the city tore this down. Nice move Eastlake. The kids work 11 years building something for themselves being constructive and not doing any damage or littering but you tear it all down in a day. Now I guess it's against the law to go into the woods. They can now sit inside playing with video all day getting no exercise or hang out on the corner and get into trouble.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Bike/Skate park off of Roberts is not dirt? Perhaps the city could construct dirt ramps like what you guys had down on Erie. Even better, let Mr. Robert Anthony (mentioned in the article) design it. I don't like the way the NH titled the article...City cleans up 'Eastlake Trails'. That implies that it was not clean, like it was a dump.
