GH is obviously leading man material, but if he were to say he was bi/gay, most leading man opportunities would go out the window.
The only exception to the above, I can think of, is John Barrowman, who is gay in RL, but plays a bi-sexual character (who is sometimes romantic, or at least sexual) in Dr Who and Torchwood. It's scifi so it probably doesn't count.
And Ian McKellen doesn't count - he plays non-romantic leads. I don't think GH can aspire to play non-romantic leads. He's too pretty.

Yeah Randy had a boyfriend but he broke up with him around Season 1 Episode 8.
Gale is definitely bi.
They had an on again off again relationship definitely for two years but there are people who think they continued to have something after wards.
Randy and Gale have actually been to each other's plays and seen each other more times than people really know.
