@CaptainHollister - Uh, just to be a complete pratt for a moment, but if you're laughing at the joke then Ben Elton would be the genius. If you're laughing at Rowan's delivery of the joke then Rowan is indeed the genius, however, if you're laughing at the joke AND Rowan's delivery then they both are geniuses.
Sorry to be pernickety, but it peeves me at times when the writer is more often than not forgotten when it comes to the quaity of a joke.
i have never in my whole life thougfht a bunch of shit is better thaan little britain but this is much better than a piece of shit so it must be better than little britain
Are you saying that Little Britain is the funniest thing in the universe? Sorry, but I have to disagree if that is the case. In my opinion? I'd say 'The News' is much funnier than Little Britain. It's not funny, it is actually disgusting.
I agree, I laugh shit loads more at this and find it more witty than little britain, but they're different types of humour really. My favorite comedians are stephen fry, mitchell and webb and monty python. Tis just taste aint it.
look i'm not having you discracing this station with a load of wishy washy didems half cock up your social worker, foldy roll blame it on society, physco, sicko, socio clap trap crap.
Series 1, actually. Also, a pilot is the first episode of a show, ususally used to sell the show to a broadcaster. They are sometimes unaired with regular broadcasts.
@hateater27 a pilot is usually a single episode put together by the writers to see if the show is any good before a network would commit money to a full series. of course they need to convince the network to pay for the pilot first.
@hateater27 I know this is a late response but the "Pilot" is the test or first episode for a new show that is launched. Most shows have a "pilot" or premier show to kick off the season. If it does well then the show goes on, if the Pilot wasn't as successful then the show is usually cancelled.
Thin Blue Line didn't have a pilot. It was sold on the basis of Rowan Atkinson teaming up with Ben Elton as a writer again. It sold itself on this alone (based on the fact they had worked together on Blackadder. Blackadder also had Richard Curtis as co-writer, but that didn't bother the BBC!) Glad it got the go-ahead, it's excellent. Thanks hateater27
