  • Sure, you listen to the version on A STEP FURTHER: real great.

  • love that boogie real fine now gimme that wine wine wine. forget the wine this is kick ass alone.

  • still has a great face too

  • Sure would like to hear Chris Youlden singin' that!!

  • Savoy!!!!!Coming to Niagara Falls, NY...Sept. 9,10 2010 can't wait!!!!!!

  • Dennis Cotton is my drum teacher!

  • Clifton Chenier does a great cover of this song on his Live at St. Mark's album. You can find it on youtube. My all time favorite boogie version is Savoy Brown's live version with Chris Youlden on vocals. The best part is at the end of the side, after 20 plus minutes of rockin' out, Youlden says: You want to boogie some more, yes, yes and Kim kicks it back in, the record fades, but you know they went on for another 10 minutes of so.

    Classic.

Nice tribute to JL Lewis and JL Hooker

  • Kim Simmonds is GOD !~!!!!

  • Anybody remember the Boogie Kings Concert in Detroit, with these guys, Canned Heat and John Lee Hooker together---playing until 3 AM or something insane like that. A Motor City Maniac's dream!

  • wasn't BOOGIE side two recorded at the GRANDE BALLROOMin Detroit? on a STEP FURTHER?????I was there but was too buzzed to recolect

  • Kim Simmons is the man

  • BOOGIE !!!!!!! Checkout those Marshal amps .

  • I really like Savoy Brown a lot, but i think they could have used a good vocalist here.

  • @daven58100 Youlden would do fine!

  • i must agree with that cullions dude. that album is so cool. side 1 grooves along but flip your lid and side 2 kicks you in the face man!

  • I saw them live at Suffolk Downs in Boston, Mass. in the spring of 1973. It was around the time "Tell Mama" was released. They kicked ass! Blue Oyster Cult opened for them. Since my perception was somewhat--how shall I put it?--"chemically enhanced," at the time I don't remember much beyond Savoy's playing "Tell Mama" and BOC closing their set with a cover of Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild."

  • I just saw Kim and Savoy Brown (whoever's in the band this week) at the Throckmorton Theatrer in Mill Valley and as usual they rocked the joint! SEE THEM!!! Your ears and soul will thank you.

  • Not much like this around these days!!

  • the best blues is always underatted

  • Cause I feel so good .

  • youlden does it the best

  • No one can Play like Kim Simmonds!

  • I'm gonna boogie some more .

    I loved them and

    ...I still do

  • Great band, miss them a lot. Best version is on "A Step Further," side two, recorded live at a small club. At 23 minutes,

it really rocks. Kim Simmons is da bomb!

  • @cullions4 I agree too! Remember that album well. Lion's Share is my personal favorite!

  • @cullions4 My pops has seen them almost 50 times when he lived in Detroit and yes you can can't beat that boogie.

  • wow
