OM, I lived in Fairbanks April 94 - Oct 96 and I remember someone playing a prank and putting dish soap in the Towns fountain. SUDS WAS ALL OVER THAT PLAZA!!! and it made FRONT PAGE news... too COOL. wish that was the kind of thing that makes front page news anymore.
That was cool see the airplanes take off and land, that wasn't much of a runway

I just found about Miss Butcher's death...
I am from Spain and I spent 1 and a half year studying in Anchorage @ 1989-1990.
I remember doing a homework-research for school about her.
What can I say... She was amazing.
We'll miss you Susan.

Good video in HD and using a tripod. Big change since i was there in 1954. Seems like they cut the heart out of the golden heart city.
