First heard the Shoe belts (and this song) in 1975 (35 years ago) when I was stationed at the U.S. Navy Base Yokosuka.
I had one album that I listened to for the 2 years that I was there. (I am told it was there last one, they broke up because of the death of their lead singer) and they did a fantastic version of "Well, Well, Well" also I forget the name but in English it means "The Yellow Ribbon" really, really loved that one. I think it was "Maka na ribon" something like that....Rev. Roy
First of all, the song is dated from the late 60s and not the 70s. I was discharged from the Navy in 1969 and previously had visited Yokosuka, Japan. There I had bought the 45 record, which I kept for many years until it was broken and disappeared. I had the song translated in Yokosuka. The most I can remember, maybe, is the wind rustles and gives memories which when turned to one sees nothing, the yearning is there but one must go on to find happiness. I love Kaze. Thks UTube
This is the original version from the early 70's. The vocalist was passed away by cancer. I think it is hardly found the song even in Japan.
I lucked I had found this melody 's with the light orchestra version almost 10 years ago. I put it for my phone-ring. Most people like it when it gives a chime !!!!!!!
People sometimes have to be on their journey alone. When you look back, what you can see is only wind blowing here and there. So do not shed a tear and do not look back, just move on.
Understood and we all have been through those tough time. So I think song has a positive message and encourages people -- be strong, right? Thanks, take care.
What a pleasant surprise that I can come across this song at You Tube! I first heard this song more than 30 years ago. The melody is beautiful and unforgetable.
Beautiful song! Thanks for the upload. There was another (newer) version sung by Norihiko in Youtube but was later deleted, anyone know where to find it again?

The titel "Kaze" means "Wind".
People sometimes have to be on their journey alone. When you look back, what you can see is only wind blowing here and there. So do not shed a tear and do not look back, just move on.

香港の友達が"風"の日本語の詩を教えてくれと言ったのに途中までしか教えられなかった事を思い出します、33年前の事です。中国語のカバーがあったのですね。

そうですか? あなたは中国語の歌詞がありますか?
