  • HOW COOL TO USE THIS SONG FOR boondock saints 2 movie@!!!!! DADDYS WORKIN BOYS!

  • sad

  • moving...

  • no not at all like the house of the rising sun, look it up.

  • The saint are a millitairy group, so saints do exisist. they were in Iraq i think and they were supposed to send back home but the goverment didnt allowed that, correct me if im wrong

  • no there talkin about the new orleans saints duh!

  • you do realise this is a cover of a 70's song

  • no shit sherlock

  • Saints don't exists!!

But surely we can be better of saints!!

We must use respect for all human beings and respect every difference!!!

  • In the beginning he sings "House of the Rising Sun"

  • i love u2

  • if you watch house of the rising sun video greenday copied the start of this song from there song i was watching house of the rising sun and just relized this

  • A great video for a great song.

  • O unico santo que ira vir à terra e JESUS

  • For bands that sound way different from each other, they sound awsome when they did this together.

  • amazing

  • billy is singin The House of the rising sun at the start. awesome

  • the guitar is sick

  • I was like 10 miles from where the flood stopped, durning Katrina.

    It was scary. :o

  • pssh... ur the lucky one, my house was in the flood

  • It was Bush's fault, and if not, then I blame Jindal. Actually, it was the fault of the fed. prosecutors who put Edwin Edwards in jail, if we had him none of this shit would have happened. In other news, the Saints are 12 AND FUCKING 0.......on the way to Miami...and a date with the Colts in the Superbowl...

  • I live in Louisiana, and I barely escaped the hurricane. I left the day it touched the shore. I live in Mandeville, the city that is parallel to New Orleans on the other side of Lake Pontchartrain. If I didn't leave i probably would have been crushed by one of the trees that flattened my house. Sadly, I was one of the lucky ones.

  • don't be such of prick you got damn !!

  • sad but so cool just love tis song!!!!!!!!!!

  • o yer go sanit george

  • Listen to it for the first time last Saturday, and I'll be honest, so I really geeks song (Y)

  • Love this song. I love green day and U2 <3

  • I love how U2 is completely neglected in all credits of this title ... they are far more legendary than Green Day.

  • 12-0 motherfuckers!!!!

  • OMG LOVEZ THEM

  • Who was Abafo Green Day

  • The Remarkable Farkle Mcbride

  • I Love this song like completely but doesnt it look like mike and tre and billie are really like doing there like green day moves while like U2 seem abit like meh :P May just be me

  • wow

  • true

  • excuse me, people..can we stop ranting and enjoy the video?

  • the Boondock Saint 2 sound track

  • no the skids version is the boondock saint 2 soundtrack

  • Back on topic. I'm sorry to U2 fans but jesus christ they smell their own farts obviously and find them to be obnoxious. Just my opinion.

From the Green Day point of view I would put it at a 6/10 because this song seems a bit diluted and doesn't have that jizz effect like most of their songs.

  • I hate it when people blame the government for this and that when they don't know shit about it. George W. Bush was actually a great president and sure he made a few mistakes but he is not the person to blame especially when it comes to Hurricane Katrina.

  • So that explains why historical scholars are writing him as one of the worst presidents of all time already?

  • not to mention bush turned down something like 60 foreign countries offering aid after the storm hit

  • thats cause americas so fucking stuck up with itself and yes i am american it might scratch a layer off of our " world leader" skin

  • Congress has the power to overide a veto made by the president.

  • I heard Mexico sent troops. I didn't get to see them in New Orleans. I did see NOPD leave the city after the second week. Stopped some NOPD robbing a store of beer.

  • How can a president be blamed for this? LOL

He told them to LEAVE the city 2 weeks ahead, + the Governor has to ask for aid. The president CAN NOT send aid without the Governors permission, which the governor DID NOT ask for.

    Louisiana Governors fault, blame him

  • sorry dipshit the Governor was Kathleen Blanco. a woman.and yes she did suck horribly

  • fuck you. Kathleen was begging for us to leave. bush, meanwhile, was promoting a bill.

  • you listen to me. I WAS THERE YOU STUPID ASS. KATHLEEn BLANCO WAS PLEADING FOR EVERYONE TO GET OUT. WARNING

  • This shows how the US government and powers that be fail to protect and take care of their own citizens.

  • Bush warned New Orleans 2 weeks before the hurricane hit to leave the city, but noooooooooooooooooooooooo dont listen.

  • cause its a bunch of dem niggers they anit gonna listen

  • okay, explain this. So your saying bush is physcic? because not even top meterologist saw it coming that early. More like three days after it happened,

  • I don't believe it was the Federal Governments entire fault. The majority goes to the CIty and State governments. When I was at the Super Dome all I saw was poor folk, same thing at the Convention Center. Nagin always had a TV camera in his face blaming everyone else. NOPD cruised by our post one nite and were looking for cars to steal. The Convention Center looked like a NOPD parking lot. The smell all over New Orleans was a mix of death, and shit.

  • just to clarify. it was in no way george bush's fault that it took so long for te government to respond. it was entirely the fault of the governor and nagin.

i know because i was here through it all

  • thats actually false. although it cant all be blamed on george bush, he had a lot to do with it. This is by far the dumbest comment I've heard all day.

  • George W. Bush is the asshole of the century

  • why did you crying? Katrina was nothing! We lived in socialism for 40 years!

  • you weren't there.

  • amazing song

  • Glad to see New Orleans is coming back. Home sweet second home!

  • Ive always been fond of this video and song.... I went into New Orleans the sumer after Katrina to do volunteer work. It was one of the best months spent in my life, but I always think of it like the tale of two cities; the best of times, the worst of times. On one hand, the people were amazing, and were very thankful and lots of people willing to help. The other hand was so much devestation. I came back suffering from some Post Traumatic stress, but its nothing to what so many went through

  • Search Dewayne Lewis the kid is a sweet ass football player check him out the next DEION SANDERS but he can HITTT

  • THE SAINTS R COMING BABY- 11-0 HAHA

  • when they first sang the chorus and all the planes flew in it was epic

  • i was in katrin. I was in st. tammany parish. we had or own bomb shelter from world war 2, so we got to stay home during katrina. when we got out everything was destroyed and the sky was grey

  • oh i was in kenner. not during the storm, but thats where i live. i got no damage at all except for my fence fell, a part of my floor buckled, and my chimney fell. How did ur house hold up

  • Green Day owns U2 a million to one

  • me too. katrina was hell.

  • i went throudh that

  • this song would have been so much better if it was just greenday

  • Yeah but you gotta admit when U2 and Greenday are playing, you can really feel the music :)

    They`re both are talented Legends...

I would like to hear them singing more songs together...

  • yep

  • Wow, I heard people of New Orleans are still suffering. I got activated from my Texas Guard unit to help the people of NewOrleans 1 day after Katrina hit. I stood on my feet for 24 hours by the Super Dome getting people on buses. I would do it again.

  • i say no mather how i try i realize there's no reply

  • 11-0...

  • billie really looks like he's putting all his heart into the first lines <3 him

  • I loved the way stealth bombers are dropping crates, which at the speed a stealth bomber has to go to keep airbourne , parachute or not, would cause ridiculous distruction. that would be PHAIL. thank god the world isnt run by bono. but i understand the point of the song and i accept it. isnt it fun to be a prick?? (-:

  • they should of had clips of The Saints from this year in it since they did reach the NFC Championship Game

  • oh yeahh!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The Federal government cannot deploy military or any other support without the permission of the governor of that state requesting it. Dont believe me? Look up the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act. Secondly, there were and still are enough troops stationed in the U.S. to respond to a natural disaster such as Katrina. That is a mandate of the National Guard. For the military to redeploy from Iraq would be pointless.

  • Actually Troops cannot be delpoyed outside of the country without congressional approval. And The government cannot appropiate money for the deployed Military without congressional approval once every two years.

But apart from that you were 100% correct.

  • I went as part of the Texas Air National Guard. I slept on the ground the first two weeks I was there. Shared my water and food with the good people of New Orleans. Took a walking tour of the lake and lower quarter. Saw gang members (jerks) fighting while people were trying to get on a bus out of the Super Dome. Saw dead people and animals. Saw Nagin in his hotel room at the Hyatt while people were outside in the Super dome.

  • I love the bashing of Bush and our military leaders for not redeploying from Iraq to New Orleans. Do you have any idea what youre talking about? First off, there is enough blame for every level of government but the majority of it belongs on the state and local level. Bush had hundreds of troops waiting on the Louisiana border but it was governor Blanco who prevented them from coming.

  • eh esse Tuanny... BjoOoOo By: Juh♥___♥

  • what the fuck is the problem with guys like jokedeity2 looking up a song an calling it a peice of shit like himself.

  • This was made during Hurricane Katrina in Florida, and Green Day worked with world known band: U2.

The 2 greatest bands in the world made an album all dedicated to Hurricane Katrina! After the Hurricane stopped, the people of Florida were very glad and in Starbucks they gave out the album for $1.67 each.

Boy, do I wish I could meet those 2 great bands.

  • katrina hit the southern part of Lousiana florida recieved but a fraction of the damage that louisiana did you prick. and its called the saints are coming because we "THE NEW ORLEANS SAINTS" came back from a horrible disaster and still kicked ass. so dont put your insight to something that you know nothing about.

  • THE SAINTS ARE COMING!

  • What the fuck is this shit? This song is called House of the Rising Sun...

  • dude its a cover.r relax

  • Fuck You guess what ITS CALLED THE SAINTS ARE FUCKING COMING DONT TRY

  • i do homework right now :D love this song

  • la verdad esqe la cancion dise toda la verdad de todo lo vqe sta pasando ...!!!! se nos acaba el mundo y cm qe no no importa...!!!

  • WTF WTF WTF!

  • put your jesus in ur ass

  • shut ur mouth fuckin atheist !!!

  • thats what ur mom said :3

  • no, that wuz what UR mom said to me while she wuz fuckin me

  • lame dude u stole my joke dude wich means i still pwn u

  • green day feat. U2. you cant forget U2. great song by the way

  • who cares when greenday formed, they were made popular in the 90s, therefore they are a 90s band.

  • @gatlinhnic

But the guy below claimed they were formed in the 90s. That's what this argument's about. lol.

  • wahey nice comment :P

  • Green Day are an American rock trio who formed in 1987. Not the 90's.

    xQx

  • What a great vid. Shows how the government/military don't give a crap about the USA, just oil profits and wiping out countries that stand in their way to maximize oil profits.

  • this is a goddamn bloody nice song, its one of my favourits hits

  • well idk am english

  • they totally took this song from the animals. yea remember that really old song house of the rising sun. they just changed some lyrics and made it thier own song. I LOVE GREENDAY AND U2 THOUGH!

  • lol this is an awesome song and yer i agree with ya this shows what they should of done instead of sit on there arse

  • greend day e u2 siete miticiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • it shows how the US army should have been called back to help the victims of katrina

  • how does this show anything on war??? its a song about katrina which was a natural disaster!! not a damn conspiracy or some shit get over all yourselves

  • omg wow your dumb, its how how the government should of called in troops to help the victims of katrina instead of just doing nothing about it DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR get your head outta your ass

  • I think this song is meaningful, and I like Billie's voice in this song, with some sad.....

  • this shows that war is more important to most americans than the preservation of human life

  • no one thinks war is important. war just something we most do. no one likes war or thinks it's important.

  • i like it and think its important

  • Right. Because we're savages! We hunger for blood and that's all we care about!

    ..haha wow

  • umm...no...they are talkin about how the millitary (saints) were coming to help out victims of Katrina...

  • HAIT GREEN DAY LUV THIS SONG

  • Green Day fucking rocks you fucking cunt.

  • @TheFlgator15

You hate Green Day but you love this song?

You think Green Day is a modern band?

    U2 = 70s

    Green Day = 80s

They have more albums than Guns N' Roses do.

    Idiot.

  • greenday isnt the 80s its the 90s

  • @cawcawcawkid

    They were around since 1987..

  • Green Day is seems a modern band and they aren't from the 80's their from the 90's

  • @gatlinghades345

They were formed in 1987 dude. You gotta research a little more.

  • they formed before actually 1987 but they became major during the 90's

  • Musica melhor nao existe ;)

  • One more thing. I'm sure i'll get a truckload of hate for saying my last comments, but none of those people went down there to help, so fuck it, their criticisms are meaningless.

  • Your completely right. The vast majority of people who offered aid had family and friends in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. This kind of destruction was unprecedented however; there was no contingency plan or recovery plan for levees breaking and the city being underwater. Lets not forget how much the city of Houston and surrounding areas did for those affected though. The Astrodome housed almost as many people as the Superdome did.

  • Most of the American people were just as apathetic about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina as the gov't was.

We sat at home and watched Anderson Cooper or whoever on tv, and said to ourselves, how horrible.

Then we changed the channel. Yes, the delayed response from the federal government was criminal. But let's not act too outraged, because at the end of the day, most people didn't give a shit.

    God bless America.

  • well, smart one, how much did YOU do to help them?

  • You are a fuckhead. There was many warnings given out so they had a chance to get out like most of the rich did. Some had the chance and some didn't due to health. Don't forget the warning was still given. G.w is garbage

  • i love this song 3 and half min but seems like 1 i agree with dfrutled this SHOULD have happened

  • Beautiful!

  • Amazing!

  • no there latest song is 21st century breakdown

    great song :D

  • Great song and video. The video shows exactly what SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED.

Bush: "Brownie, you doing a heck of a job." That quote will forever haunt my mind.

  • WOW!! this song is a tear jerker god bless the troops and GO SAINTS!!!!!

  • love u2 more then greenday no offense greenday fans....but greenday is still awesome...but u2 is wayyy better

  • @5456hsb They both rule. Awesome song.

  • i like this song it sounds cool... and what does coldplay have to do with any of this thats green day and u2.. greeen dayy!!! best band ever ♥ them

  • what's the latestt song of green day?

  • 21 guns it just came out this year

  • this is a terrible song. 'Til our weather change condemns belief'

Subtle point you're getting across there....

  • You people all can sit here and bash the goverment. Let me just tell you we've put our hearts and souls into the war and also aid of LA as soon as we were able to get deployed. It is much easier to sit here and bash other why not take it upon yourself to get into the heart of a disaster and do your PATRIOTIC DUTY!! (SSG.Loftus ARMY)

  • ur forgot: it was Coldplay who originally made the song, and asked green day to join.

  • it was the skids dumbass

  • hijo de la gran puta...

  • This is one of my favourite songs, these 2 bands were mad to do duo's. they sound awesome together

  • is that bono from u2?

  • ya its bono

  • Wow Billy Joe just got really out sung.. and The Edge out plays all of them to

  • no es posible que muchos nadan en dinero otros no tienen ni para comer

  • this song isnt only greenday, its also U2

  • "Not as seen on TV" WTF

  • its cos the US army and government were too busy with this Iraq war business (which i thought was about weapons of mass destruction- whatever happened to that?) to save their own people in katrina, the US army was capable of all the things shown in this video but the Iraq war was viewed as more important. thats my understanding anyhoo

  • the US army is big enough to deal with a flood and fight two wars, it was just the incompetence of the leaders

  • LOCO NO SE ESCUCHA :s

  • this is so old - we are better

  • Great band ! For something new and different check out the "Shake For Me Now" video in my site

  • i also think that is a good song

  • Is that bono singing with them?

  • Singing, and the rest of U2 playing. B) Pretty epic, no?

  • The saints are coming<3333

  • THE SAINTS ARE COMING ;)

  • great song..!!
