@atlantichouse not imitation. influence. kraftwerk was the spark that triggered endless amounts of new (mostly electronic) music from the 1970s onwards, including the chicago house and detroit techno scenes. that doesn't mean they aren't original in their own right. thats like saying almost every pop group since the '60s imitated and stole from the beatles.
