I'm taking control of my own destiny, changing my future as we speak. And this song's in the background, what fitting music for a life changing moment.
it may be a remix, but this to me is the greatest crossover track of all time, if you were into piano or house or techno wether you went to quadrant park, shellys or the orbit(gods club) this united us all, in the words of L.F.O....one nation under a groove xx
I used to think it was wrong to remix this tune, but this remix has grown on me more and more over the years. In all honesty, I now think it is a marvellous remix, reallly quite clever.
Worst version ever. It's the mid way build up on loop so rather than sounding good it's just completely fucking anoying as you constanly waiting for the strings etc to kick back in.
kraftwerk are the masters... everything else is imitation re-educate yourselves you have been hoodwinked chicagohouse is built upon a lie they are not the master of all they survey there is a wicked lie at the heart a theft no less when will they confess kraftwerk is house do your homewerk is this the story of rock and roll is history repeating itself youtube=kraftwerkhomecomputerparis81.... to begin you re-education
@atlantichouse not imitation. influence. kraftwerk was the spark that triggered endless amounts of new (mostly electronic) music from the 1970s onwards, including the chicago house and detroit techno scenes. that doesn't mean they aren't original in their own right. thats like saying almost every pop group since the '60s imitated and stole from the beatles.
@atlantichouse sorry to correct you but there have been many before kraftwerk,.,,just to name eric satie...what about Moog and his influence ? kraftwerk is a milestone but you should not overrate them...
have you ever thought of detroit being more something like high tech jazz ?
the influences of drexciya were for example very strongly rooted to sun ra...- at least r. stinson's side.
and as well some interpretations from dizzy gillespie are found in certain artist's work.
makes me forget for 6:14 that this year my father dies,my mother is seriously ill ,and my gf from 7 years breaking up with me and leaving with my 3 yrs old son.... thank you music ,thank you dedrick, thanx you relics, thank you youtube. peace and love for all of you.
Appazzz: I feel you on that, As a "house head" It leaves me thirsty for a few thumps of the hard solid House beats....which came in at the very end BOOM>BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM...
I wish I'd been around for this time! Some of the most uplifting songs I've ever heard happened during the birth of rave. you fuckers hoarded all the happiness for the next 100 years! :p
Indeed...halcy-eons ago...In me umble opinion this Buzz EP was one of the best rhythim is rhythim releases...probably because of Carl Craigs addition in both this "sweetest" mix of strings and kaotic harmony...I posted the latter as a vide response above...if you haven't heard its a must!
thats a massiv shout. I think ur bang on mate. but i also think its been dun b4. so thats wat i was afta a version thats been made with a drop etc.gud thinkin tho
This is the anthem to the realy early days when raving was the world of the minority who drifted away from the beer monster club scene and hung about in abandoned warehouses till sunrise.
It was that blissful scene just before the masses followed.
STRINGS OF SADNESS this version is so superior than the original mixes 1987 transmat ms 004 SO EMOTIONAL AND SOULSEARCHING,SO TOUCHING i could CRY but i WONT.
