Thank you posting this episode and more importantly, reminding television viewers of some of the best "black entertainment television" that was every produced in Hollywood. I don't know of another show, with the exception of "Everybody Hates Chris" which captures "black humor" in an urban environment. Of course, Good Times took place in an urban ghetto but still, it was one of the best tv shows from the '70s.

I have been to Egypt where there is a painting of a Black Jesus. It is located in the Coptic Museum in Cairo and it is between 1300 and 1700 years old. It is one of the oldest depictions of Jesus and it is of a Black man with dark brown skin and an afro, surrounded by equally dark skinned disciples. It is called Christ In Glory.

Thank you posting this episode and more importantly, reminding television viewers of some of the best "black entertainment television" that was every produced in Hollywood. I don't know of another show, with the exception of "Everybody Hates Chris" which captures "black humor" in an urban environment. Of course, Good Times took place in an urban ghetto but still, it was one of the best tv shows from the '70s.

I beg to disagree with Esther Rolle. Regardless of Jesus' skin color, the Bible's all-wise author's not getting into trivial matters. The primary focus is the Plan of Redemption! Jesus came to pay the price of sin in order that sinners can be saved from hell. Thank God there were no Polaroids in Ancient Jerusalem!
