@TheRockSheena You Have right. If you dont know can i tell you that the trashmen did a later a cover of Johnny B Goode. You can only hear it if you buy the album bird call
Yes! This is maybe the best Trashmen-tune forever but it must be. But the song seems to be closely related to Johnny B Good. My favorite hobby is to search for unknown bands from the 60s. Please Check Up THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". Amazingly good.
@TheSunbau Naw. Tube City is their best. The Trashmen were far more talented in the instrumental department. When they stuck to the actual surf rock with Greek and Lebanese melodies(not the rockabilly doo wop stuff falsely called "surfer music"), they could actually make music. I like Surfin' Bird, but it as well as this have nothing on their instrumental works, which they did not that much of.
i have collect trashmen records four a long time now and i got nearly all records whit them.

Is it just me or does the guitaring in the beginning sound like the one in "Johnny B. Goode?" Great, amazing Trashmen!

@Toxiejunkie I agree, so I looked it up: "'King of the Surf" by The Trashmen sampled Chuck Berry's 'Johnny B. Goode'."
