  • A very depressing ending for those who are able to understand. No romantic or a heroism ending. Just a replacement.

  • gritty and realistic and sometimes even unpleasant to watch, yet still at the same time so beautiful.

  • Literally, the worst film ever made.

  • definitely NOT looking up lunadefledermaus's comment

  • whats the background music!! need to know!

  • anyone know whats the name or the composer of the background eerie music at the start of the trailer, i know ive hear it before.

  • It's quite strange to watch because I know her - Lina Leandersson. Yesterday she was making her new film in Estonia and she seemed so nice and friendly and quite shy too. But I'm so happy because I'm also gonna be in her new film :):)

  • Pedobear approves.

  • Ha I just love reading comments on how people say the American version is better.Man you guys would probably make the worst film critics.LoL :)

  • @WeaponX668 I like both. o:

  • if you don't understand the language watch " let me in "

  • @AkaNomad00paranoid If you don't understand the language, then learn to read subtitles FFS. You know how to read right?

  • Let the Right One In is written by the Swedish Writer John Ajvide Lindqvist thestory centers on the relationship between aboy, Oskar, and a centuries-old vampire. It takes place in Blackeberg, Stockholm, in the early 1980s. The book focuses on the darker side of humanity, dealing with issues such as existential anxiety, school bullying, paedophilia and murder.

For those you who haven't read this book I implore read it! Put down Twilight and pick some good vampire books, like Bram Stokers Dracula.

  • I wanna see this movie it. seems like twilight but in a different way.

  • how Twilight should be

  • who's the boy and who's the girl in this movie? LOL

  • @itainani That's the point.

  • The American version is for illiterates that cannot focus very well.

  • I have nothing against the american version, but I think this one is made in such a more astonishing way.

  • Let me in is 99.99 % the same

and is better then this one.

  • @SlimDraq

Actually 'Let The Right One In' was made in Sweden, not Norway >.<

  • Let me in....this is the same movie but is made in norway and not at hollywood

  • @SlimDraq no,"let me in" is made in the US

  • nothing like the love of a undead

    precious

  • FUCK TWIGHLIGHT, FUCK TRUE BLOOD... this is the shit mo fo's

  • Asa Akria's fav movie :)

    #goingdeep#kassemG

  • This looks good but the gorl just doesn't have the evil look to her....

  • @ParamorePoptart1 Because she's supposed to be evil?

  • @ParamorePoptart1 But doesn't that just make her less suspicious and thus, the better vampire? There's no surprise to the story if the character obviously looks evil. :/

  • @FanYay It's not eally obvious. It's just like a shadow hanging in the corner.

  • good movie...

  • @leggsXinXaXtopXhat clearly YOU have no taste. Look at your name.

  • @ilovezachgordon13 yesssssssssss :)

  • i just can't stand seeing this trailer!!!!!!! no offense please

  • im super sorry but chloe moretz and kodi smit-mcphee is waaaaaay more better than those two even dylan minette is more suitable for kenny so LET ME IN still rules 100 percent

  • "Let me in" is muuuuuuuch better.

  • @14Seli i know right?!!?

  • @14Seli clearly you have no taste.

  • @14Seli i 100% agree

  • Wow, I'm reading the novel now, it really gives me the creeps! It's still great though :]

I'll be sure to check out the movie once I've finished the book, the trailer looks nice.

  • where is 480p?

  • reading this novel right now...creepy....now i gotta see the movie :)

  • I watched this movie so many times. I never get tired of it.

  • The swedish trailer is so much better. Doesn´t give everything away..

  • I guess people find it distracting to see a movie and be forced to read the subtitles in order to understand what the hell is going on. Maybe we take it for granted in Sweden seeing as how we've grown up with subtitles. Either way, you shouldn't dismiss a movie just beucase it's subtitled, and shouldn't dismiss a movie just because it's a remake. I really do enjoy the original film, but I liked the American one as well, mainly because they are two different movies with different purposes!

  • I read the book and it was great !!! now I'm about to watch the movie !!!

  • Where is the Swedish chef?

  • u niggas gotta F off my comment i say wat i want this is trash go hop off my dick

  • this sucka ss

  • Beautiful movie. And obviously better than the remake.

  • humans fuck vampires and produce werewolves!!!

  • I would say the American version did do some justice to this movie compared to other remakes such as maybe Ju-On. Although the American version seems to be better only at the vampire aspect and not really the story aspect.

  • this movie is far creepier and far less action-packed than this trailer pretends

  • best movie i have seen in a LOOONG time, and i had to read the whole time. still amazing thought, if you havent seen it, i advise you do!

  • Yet another trailer that tries to turn EVERY film into some kind of mad action film!

  • i thought the american 1 was better, the soundtrack was better, the relationship felt more real to me and no fucking subtitles.

plus the blonde kid in the swedish 1 for some reason creeped me out.

  • @goodday306 ' ..and no fucking subtitles'. I giggled.

  • The first and only time I've seen vampire pussy was in this film. :)

  • @blkgnuz2007 haven't you seen twilight? haha

  • @octopuspriime Lmao! Yeah, you're right. Those Twilight films are full of pussies and I don't mean the lady kind. :D

  • Masterpiece

  • my girlfriend likes this movie so much she got the title tattooed on her ass! it all makes sense now!

  • @johnny3400 HAHA! Your comment had me in a fit! Ur girlfriend sounds legendary;)

  • @johnny3400 if only more women could be like her

  • @johnny3400

i want to c that tattoo, plz give me her c.number ...

  • @wajahat1011 well if you call her number your mom will answer.

  • i watched this the other night ;3 i prefer this one to let me in cause it's got more in it and the fact i don't know what the're saying makes me wanna watch it more lol

  • @XxXxchrissy123456 wow...that really nerdy...if thats why you think its better...

  • @GBThreeCount o'rite then. lmfao

  • @XxXxchrissy123456 lmao i am sorry i was having a debate with one of my friends the other day about which movie was better and he said this one and i said the remake was better and then he basically said the same thing as you...the fact that this one is in a different language helps make it better and i think that just sounds really fuckin stupid....i enjoyed let me in but i wouldnt enjoy it if it were in spanish you know?

  • @GBThreeCount everyone's different;p

  • @lunadefledermaus

would be an interesting twist, it wasnt though

  • @lunadefledermaus you just spoiled it for ppl that didnt see it!!!

  • @abbyd00dle1 ha yeah that's what i thought. I was like oh man..spoiler alert

  • Comment removed

  • @lunadefledermaus also in "let me in"...they made "Abby" a girl...in Let the Right One In, "Abby" was a boy that had his genitalia removed.

  • Why can't americans learn to watch movies in other languages than their own, or do they lack the ability to read subtitles? I can honestly say that not a single remake that I have watched has made the original justice.

    Shame America.

(If you are not one of these illiterate people and enjoy the originals please do not take offence)

  • @Chibbox Honestly, you make a good point. The original is better than the american remake. I had to watch it for my analysis but i liked it. it's refreshing to the genre. my brother didn't get it, my sister couldn't be bothered to watch it and my mum was scared to watch it. I was used to watching films with subs so it didn't bother me that they were already on. I know that most of those scences were difficult but i'm glad they took risks.

  • @Chibbox Many of us Americans do watch subtitled movies. I love many foreign films. It's a unique experience. Many wonderful films are subtitled. :-)

  • @Chibbox i agree with you...if I can watch a swedish movie with english subtitles so can americans - and english is not my first language...

  • @Chibbox this was a really good movie, except for the fact that I had a hard time following the sub, because they spoke too fast.... same thing in "the girl with dragon tatoos"...

  • @Chibbox Agreed: Infernal Affairs (The Departed), The Ring, Ju-On, A Tale of Two Sisters... all much better in their original versions than the American version.

And if they don't remake, they usually dub them, which is just as horrendous.

  • @Chibbox The new one is almost as good.

  • @Chibbox I wish I wasn't an illiterate American.

  • @Chibbox ... why cant ppl learn that not only amaricans feel this way -_-" im not amarican and know alot of none americans who would love to watch a movie if it was in english. i have watched a few subtiled movies but having to read subtitles does lower the score a bit... and have chosen not to watch a few movies becouse of this.

  • wish i saw this before the american version

  • Americans don't read subtitles because we don't have to, just wait long enough and any good movie gets remade in English.

The American version is almost exactly the same thing except with better acting so anyone saying it's worse is just being a movie snob talking out of their ass.

And for the foreigners, grats every once in a while you make a good movie that we copy, but for the most part you owe America for a massive percentage of your entertainment.

  • @btbrotherton Stay classy Amerifat.

  • @btbrotherton Yes, thank you for giving us Pootie Tang, The hottie and the nottie, Mariah Carrey's Glitter and not to mention Scary Movie 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

  • @btbrotherton Things can be adapted but they do lose something along the way. Novels can't be verbatim, things get excised or characters get blended, but there is something nice about a foreign film with subtitles and not a badly dubbed vocal track that I prefer. It is nice to know that beyond our country there are others capable of making something that is unique and reflects there culture. America is not the only country on the planet, it is nice to have alternatives.

  • @btbrotherton 'but for the most part you owe America for a massive percentage of your entertainment.' You're kidding, right? The American 'vampire' bulls.. Movies like Twilight, = 'entertainment'..? Really now? Also, there wouldn't be a Let Me In without Let The Right One In. You're just talking bullshit.

  • @LADYxIMMORTELLE what are you retarded? A massive percentage of your entertainment means vampire movies? You're being so fucking close minded. Yea, Twilight is fucking terrible. But vampire movies? Interview with a Vampire is an amazing movie. How about Casablanca, The Shining, The Exorcist? More recent movies? The Town, There Will Be Blood, Body of Lies. Sure America makes A LOT of crap, but we also have the best movies in history. Foreign movies are good once in a blue moon.

  • @btbrotherton Hahah wow, it's funny how you call me -fucking- close minded. Oh and -fucking- Europe invented the camera. We don't 'owe' you shit. Enough -fucking- said.

  • Just finished the book..... FUCKING. CRAZY.

  • the sweedish is better that the american !!

  • @FiKeppe I enjoyed the Swedish one as well, but I went to second grad to learn the difference from fact and opinion. In my opinion the Swedish one was better then the American version.

  • @FiKeppe

    hell yeah!!!!

  • People love to bitch about remakes. Watch it first before u start bleating you dumb arse.

  • ''Subtitles? If i wanted to read subtitles I'll get a damn book! theirs no way I'm reading...a movie!''

The arrogance of the comment made me realise why the world hate westerns .. billions of people watch subtitles to watch english speaking movies and they have no problem '' Reading a movie!!'' you are a reatrd.

  • @chanceie12 It's because you're a fucking racist! don't you ever think that there are some words that don't have English word equivalent? and now, if you damn translate it in ENGLISH, do you think that you will get the HUMOR of the movie?

  • I watched both Swedish and American version of "Let The Right One In" novel. I must say that I liked the Swedish version better although I had to read the subtitles. The actors captured the emotions needed for the story line and I felt the sadness and tragedy of the lives of all the characters especially the two kids. I can't wait to find out what kind of life lies ahead of them. I've been waiting for the release of English version of Let The Old Dreams Die though it didn't have a great review.

  • @PoncyTank LOL!

  • Subtitles? If i wanted to read subtitles I'll get a damn book! theirs no way I'm reading...a movie!and I'm not going to spends years learning Swedish to watch an hour + shit movie when I could use that time masturbating to the Statue of Liberty. I'm watching the American version.-Stereotypical American.

  • Let the Right One In = brilliant Swedish movie.

So glad I understand a lot of it, though I do need the subtitles for some parts.

And if it isn't obvious to some people who have commented...this was released a couple of years BEFORE the American remake titled "Let Me In".

  • I love this film so much, so much is expressed through the wonderful, RAW acting. Let Me In was very mediocre. I did not care for either of the child actors and found it very annoying. I was disappointed.

  • great film

  • Isn't this the same as Let Me In? God that movie sucked ass! And that is the blondest child I have ever seen!! D:

  • @ChipmunkNationFan200 There's an english version and there's the original foreign one (this one)

    they just remade it.

AND IT DID NOT SUCK ASS D:

  • @xLolitaChannyax it was boring. they just didn't do much :\

  • @xLolitaChannyax No, there is a SWEDISH one and an American (foreign) remake

  • @carmencapel69 sorry xD to me its foreign since im american :P

  • And LOL at the post a few pages back '' Let me in is way better , fuck subtiles'' what a retard you are.

and another one quarantine was better then REC LOL... god and americans wonder why we laugh at them.

  • Let me in has the most wooden acting i have ever seen.

i was watching it with the rubix cube scene , and cody had to say his emotions to chloe thats how dumb american audiences are... 90% of let me in is copied from LTROI fact , reeves said so himself ..

  • @chanceie12 yeah 90% of let me in is copied from LOTRI, its a fuckin remake twat. Great acting, great remake

  • @chanceie12 yes, the mass of American films are very blunt and don't make the audience think; but really it's Hollywood doing that. I don't think Americans are given the chance to watch really cerebral films because Hollywood is pumping out idiotic and obvious movies that dominate over incredibly well made American cinema that gets pushed to small independent theatres. I do agree that LTROI should not have been Americanized, though.

  • @chanceie12 American films are Box Office hits in international markets. Some of America's worst films, outperform internationally. It's not very hard to look this up.

  • @chanceie12 How does saying your emotions mean you're dumb?

  • let me in is way better

  • Oops wrong one.

  • "Let the Right One In" (the good one) is ancient code. "hi", "hello", "hail to thee" "health", "high greetings" (english), "seig heil" (german), "L' Chayyim" (hebrew, "to life", "the charm"), "al Qaeda" (arab, "have water"). animals have codes in their electrochemical logic processor (brain). some code grows automatically. some code is programmed (learned). animals select who will enter a "hole" or "house", who lives or dies. it is older than religion or law. - james mcashan for the US Senate

  • oh they both are really good i can't decide

  • the swedish version is the original one.. why make a copy of a movie that already exists?...

  • @maldoyon Yep, I saw both versions and the Swedish original version beats U.S.'s remake by a hundred miles. The Swedish was definitely more creepy. The U.S. once again "Hollywooded" a foreign movie again... Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it was ever supposed to be all emo like the U.S. version was.

  • @maldoyon I just saw the Swedish version. Compared to the US actors and directing, the acting was weak and odd, at moments. The only scenes that impressed me in Let The Right one In is when the lady caught fire and when the cats attacked her. Let Me In needed to be done to due that movie true justice.

  • @maldoyon they wanted to attract a larger audience by making a us version

  • @maldoyon because American people can't read so they can't follow it....obviously I'm joking. However, I do think that having to read the subtitles to understand the dialogue draws the viewers attention away from the incredible performances of the two young actors. Let Me In was not terrible, but it definitely did not due justice to the book or the Swedish film adaptation. Unfortunately, I see the same thing happening with the upcoming Millennium Trilogy remakes.

  • @maldoyon

To make money and not put any effort into it.

  • Let Me In is waaay better, fuck the subtitles.

  • they remade this movie...it called - let me in.

    good fuckin movie btw

  • So the Swedish version is good? I have seen the American version, but with these kinda of movies such as American "quarantine" was a remake of the Spanish REC which was better. I am curious if this one will be better as well then its American counter part! Thanks in advance for your input.

  • @SCSUguy85 They are both good. Only differences the American version has better cinematography, longer scenes without cut, and better tension it also gets rid of some boring characters from the original. The kids are also very good in the American version but, in the end both are really good movies.

  • man I saw the ad-trailer for chronicle. it way more awesome than ad-trailer for retreat

  • i'd watch this but it's got subtitles

  • american version was good! the swedish version was pure art!

  • that brown jacket oskar wears, what kind is it?

    It's fucking G, lol!

    loved the movie btw :)

  • i freaking love this movie

  • U.S.A version is WAYYYY better!!!! better actresses and actors and has a better setting! But hey, the sweddish version is okayy to!
