  • Looks like HEALTHCARE isn't OBAMA'S WATERLOO after all. However, it is the Republicans STALINGRAD. LOL! They've lost and now they're in complete retreat. WE WIN! THEY LOOOOOOOOSE! HA!

  • @taosimplicity Really? Explain.

  • there is no difference between extreme right and extreme left - nazis communists etc etc - they differ in rhetoric, but once power is in the hands of the few, bad things happen - like castro mao stalin hitler etc etc

  • The political spectrum should not viewed as Left vs. Right on opposite ends but rather it should be defined as "Liberty vs. Statism."

Whether eminating from the Left or Right statism is still statism; Big Government is still Big Government.

  • Can anybody say Weimar?

  • 2.3 * 10^13

    Can anybody imagine that?

  • . . . the point of the healthcare reform is to save money. I think it's time you accept that democrats (what you call liberals) are the same thing as republicans. It's bizarre you would prefer republicans because they fake their dislike of bureaucracy. You blame the wars' continuity on Obama, but there would be no wars to end if it hadn't been for the republicans. And I doubt that Obama has been made as much of a messiah by "liberals" as you and your fellow "conservatives" have made him a Satan.

  • It figures that Obama's such a leftwinger he even writes with his left hand!

  • As a progressive would say

    "This is so powerful"

    Right On SA.

  • "Honest leadership / Open Government"

    What a joke.

  • Liberal - Conservative

    Republican - Democrat

Divide and conquer. While these groups squabble amongst themselves the government steals your money and your rights.

  • If anyone still loves the "Thief in Chief" after he turns this country communist, they need their head examined.

  • What is communism?

  • Google "Josef Stalin"

  • lol

  • Actually the more educational and correct response would be Carl Marx followed by a Utopian fantasy.

  • Well I was just trying to get on Von Helton's neverves a little. He has conflated communism with atheism and has no recognized the different branches within communism.

  • There are no different branches. LOL

  • Yes they are. Stalinism, Leninism, Trotskyism, classical Marxism, Maoism, left Marxism, concil communism, anarcho communism etc.

  • Well, now that we know that you know some political figures and dictators, please explain the different branches within communism.

  • Just look them up with google and/or wiki. No need for me to type them out. I am not an expert on all of them anyway.

  • His name is Karl Marx, with a "k".

  • Who cares?

  • Did anybody see DeMint's "health care reform" plan? It wasn't much better than Obama's. DeMint isn't quite conservative enough to even deserve Southern Avenger's praise if y'ask me.

  • Large government increases the power of the politicians in charge. I don't think we will ever get a smaller government unless we fight for it. Its going to take more than votes in this society, and that is the sad reality.

  • We are going to be lucky to have an economy at all by the time Obama's first term is over. Between him and Bush they have wasted more money and grown the size and scope of the federal government more than any other presidents in history. Both republicans and democrats are responsible for this mess. It's time to give other candidates a chance.

  • Jim DeMint for President in 2012!

  • as long as concervative means the republican party of dishonest abe they can go to the devil!

the only thing worse than a liberal is a republican!(with the exception of Demint and Sanford, they are of the few that are actually lookin out for Carolina.)

  • or Ron Paul

  • 4 sure. we cant forget him!

  • I wish Ron Paul were twenty years younger.. or could gain back twenty years of his life somehow.

Anyways besides that Extremely wishful thinking... great video as usual.

But to be honest I am getting so sick of hearing about Obama. Because every-time I hear about it him, he seems to be spending more money on the "Greater good of society"

And I guess its because I am a student of Austrian economics, but he really makes my blood boil. But so does government officials in general.

  • we must be like general john buford at gettysburg by "denying the enemy the high ground.." We must make sure we must destroy any possible chance at passing anything negative.

  • it won't be his waterloo, it will be his waterGATE!

we can finish Obama off by stopping this bill!!

  • Bravo!

    Well Said & Done! 5 +

    YA Got me , Yep! I'm a Neo-Con.

You're staying on point & on Target!

    So Thanks!

    sieg hiel, osamabama? HELL NO

    osamabama, his minions & rhinos,

    Need to GET OUT!

    SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!

    DEO VINDICE!

  • unsubscribed.

  • why??

  • I like the Southern Avenger eventhough I am a far left-liberal type. He is correct about establishment liberals just as he is correct about the neo-conservatives. They are both destructive. As for Obama's healthcare plan, I oppose it as well. Why? Let me tell everyone that Obama-care is NOT "socialized medicine;" Obama-care is nothing more than "corporate welfare disguised as healthcare reform." The only way out of this fix is Single Payer. Sadly, too many establishment Dems opposes it.

  • You're probably more of a classic liberal, which is a very respectable form of liberalism. Unfortunately, most Dems don't even know what that is, just as most Repubs don't know what true conservatism is.

If we had a classic liberal vs. a true conservative, then we'd be having real debate on substantial issues. I don't see that happening for a looong time. Paul & Kucinich are the closest we have, and they allegedly "don't have a chance."

  • The only reason Paul and Kucinich don't have a chance is because of the stupid electorate and their love of style over substance. I tend to vote Democratic simply because I just can't stomache the social conservatism of most of the Republicans. If they returned to their Barry Goldwater roots, many people like myself would look upon them more favorably and vote Republican. I hate the spending of the dems, but my conscience just won't let me vote Republican.

Both parties have lost their way.

  • You don't talk like a "far left-liberal type." Maybe your a Libertarian and just don't know it yet. As a libertarian myself, I can be pretty liberal on many issues, mainly social.

  • Well thats what libertarians are, social moderate to liberal and fiscally conservative. I myself am a social moderate.

  • No. While you at least recognize the political spectrum is more than a one dimensional line it isn't that two dimensional diamond I see floating around with the two things it measures with being social and economic views. The political spectrum is three dimensional. It includes your views on size and role of government, foreign policy, and such things as the patriot act and real ID. Your views on abortion and gay rights and your views on economics hardly is enough to apply a title.

  • Not to severely pick on you PsychoPunk, but that's exactly the definition of "socialized" anything. Whenever there is a redistribution of wealth, that's socialism. To the extent of it, whether it's just minimum wage, or national health-care, or war spending, or national security, or mandating unions does not matter. It is all, in some form, socialism. There is a tolerance level and the people who watch SA have reached their tolerance level.

  • There are still way way way too many neocons in the republican party , but I'd vote Ron Paul in a second.

  • Hannity is an absolute moron and is only harming the Republican party.

  • why does he make these videos... they dont help anything

  • Finiras, are you implying that the only way out of this is more government power in your life?

  • its just a honest question

  • I dunno. Jack changed my opinion on a lot of things, mostly foreign policy. Two or three years ago I was more moderate on foreign policy.

Listening to him and Ron Paul changed that. Sometimes some one just says something that clicks. If any of his videos or commentaries changed just one mind they were worth it.

    And oh look, there's mine.

  • he has such great points but sometimes I wonder fi your accent is this real. I'm sorry if thats offensive its just it sounds a little too southern if that can be such a thing lol

  • our differences are far beyond left vs right politics. They are much deeper and go farther than we can imagine. The only long term solution is racial sepratism and / or secession.

  • I agree with secession. The other part? Not so much...

  • I don't think it is a fake accent. His accent is very true to the Charleston area of South Carolina. And I for one and extremely proud he has it. It is about time some intelligent dialog was spoken with a genteel southern accent. I resent as a southern that we are often stereotyped negatively primarily identified with a southern accent. His commentaries counter those stereotypes very nicely.

  • Lol. I do hear this from time to time. It's just the way I talk. I know no other way. Born and raised in Charleston, SC.

  • He doesn't have an accent! He sounds right normal to me. ;-)

  • everyone has an accent. what youre accustomed to sounds normal.

  • Perception vs reality. To paraphrase the line from Men In Black "Gentlemen, congratulations. You're everything we've come to expect from years of government education." It floors me that so many people keep voting for the Republicrats when all they do is dismantle the Contstitution and increase the size, scope and intrusiveness of government. We seem to have forgotten what the blessings of liberty and the bain of tyranny realy are. We are, I think, about to be reminded too late about tyranny

  • Screw Waterloo, this may be the countries Suez Crisis.

  • pfft do you even know what waterloo is refering to

  • Wa⋅ter⋅loo noun

    1. a village in central Belgium, south of Brussels: Napoleon decisively defeated here on June 18, 1815.

    2. a decisive or crushing defeat: The candidate met her Waterloo in the national elections.

  • I cant see conservatism coming back. When 90% of blacks and 70% asians and hispanics just cant vote for conservatives you have a problem. Asians and hispanics see conservatives as racist cause of the immagration issue and blacks just see conservatives as racist. Couple that with the majority of whites under 30 consider themselves liberal. And the growing atheist population thats at 16% now and growing fast. I just cant see it. Alright bring on the hate.

  • I'm atheist and I am a conservative libertarian and no thats not a contradiction.

  • Nice statistics bro! Got a source?

Your problem is that you're categorizing people. If you watch SA's other work, you'd see that him and other meaningful conservatives and libertarians are individualist and absolutely resent grouping people into race and religion.

Once you get past grouping people into categories, then TRUE freedom is very possible.

  • No hate here. : )

I can hopefully see neo-conservatism dying out. Mainstream republicans will *claim* to be conservative when, in fact, their political convictions are more heavily rooted in neo-conservatism. Sadly, the youth today will not take the time to distinguish the difference between the two and will consider themselves liberal because of the left seems to have more support of gays & science. I became an atheist, but never a liberal. Just your Constitutional, common sense libertarian.

  • The thing is, judging by proposition 8 in California, Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians are really far more conservative than liberal. They have been told that the Republican party is for white people and the Democrats are for them. It just goes to show you that if you tell a lie often enough and long enough people enough people will believe it.

  • That generally only holds true on social issues though, which is why most of them still vote for liberals.

  • I remember an interview of an hispanic woman who was voting democrat because that was the party of the people of color but when she was asked about her political concerns they had nothing to do with the modern democratic party line. Anecdotal to be sure, but telling none-the-less.

  • You are an excellent example of a problem I see in America. We see things in black and white. Democrat or Republican at worse, liberal and conservative at best.

We need to start judging politicians as individuals rather than grouping them as part of a greater whole. And there are more than just two types. =P There are several different kinds of conservative and liberal.

  • Actually Mr. Hunter campaigned for Dr. Chuck Baldwin. He is know for speaking out against liberal republicans, especlially the peculiar lindsey grahamnesty. He is simply focused on the problem at hand which nowdays seems to be of a democrat nature.

  • Um... no kidding? Here's a shock, he campaigned for Ron Paul before that. And back in 2000 for Pat Buchanan! And he's always spoke out against liberal republicans.

    In case you were not paying attention, I was responding to a comment made by warcraft1920, not Jack's video. -_-;

  • I wasent payin attention.

  • the only reason there are several kinds is because people who don't follow the "rules" (for lack of a better term) of an ideology start defining it. So you get war hawks becoming conservatives when that's actually anti conservative. Yes there are more than two types, but they differ in specific areas. The liberal ideologies all have one thing in common: more spending and more gov't, conservatives want less spending and less gov't. In that aspect it is black and white

  • Warhawks are neither conservative or liberal. They are more just asinine.

Neo-conservatism wants more spending and government and classical liberals (AKA Libertarians) want less. Thing is, liberal and conservative are terms that have changed to mean different things. When most people invoke the word conservative they mean social conservatives, sadly.

  • The term liberal does not mean less spending...liberal and libertarian have two totally different root words. Libertarian's root word is liberty. Liberal itself is the root word. It means doing something in vast quantities. Like if you apply lotion liberally to your hands you are applying a lot of it. By definition a liberal is big government and big spending. read the Prince by Machiavelli, a miser is someone who is a prude and a liberal is the opposite.

  • Um. Hate to burst your bubble there but Liberal comes from the word LIBERTY too. There is a reason some people call Libertarians "Classical Liberals", that such terms exist is to only differentiate between the two. That it coincides with the notion of liberally applying something is coincidental.

  • Liberal - marked by generosity : openhanded b: given or provided in a generous and openhanded way. Again, a good example of the original connotation of liberal is in the Prince by Machiavelli. The idea of liberty being the root is that a liberal is supposed to support government reform to secure a person's economic freedom, in other words, reform the government so that people get free money, food, etc and this is done by making the government bountiful, large, expansive...spend spend spend

  • Obama and Republicans will eventually produce a compromise legislation on Health Care. It will not "break" Obama. As you have previously noted, he is the Democrats' Reagan, and as such, he will remain popular even when his policies are not. The Republican party was tainted before the rise of W, and if they do in some way gain a foothold here, the rot will set in again. You praise Nader as independent of mind; it is long since past time for Ron Paul to leave the Republicans in the same way.

  • Perfect. Thanks.

  • How is it that you dont have a segment on a TV show? Excellent comentary you couldnt be more right. Just check the Huffington post comment on any of Obamas screw up or lies and you the most creative excuses for THE ONE.

That and a few mins listening to talk radio just show how hard it would be to get real change to this country

  • 5/5
