Bamboo House: How Bamboo Homes Are The Green Building Solution

Part of the challenge with using bamboo in the West is current building codes don't deal with it. It's not a strength of the product issue. Forestry interests also don't want the competition. Another issue is Bamboo for building use does not really grow in most of the temperate northern hemisphere to timber size. Yes people can have nice bamboo in the yard, but only in the deep south of America will it grow to "timber" size.

I live in NZ and wonder why oh why the wonder of bamboo hasn't really taken off here. It really is God's super plant. I love what I saw and read here - thanks so much. I want to find out more.
