  • Nicklaus played against a handful of all-time greats, but others such as Moody, Archer, Aaron, Coody, Brewer, Pate also won majors during his prime.

The chip-in above is one of the all-time lucky shots in golf history. Trevino was amazing.

  • beautiful

  • Nice shot Lee! It's always nice to see one drop in the cup.

  • what a joke...this was one of 3 chips holed by trevino in the 1972 british open which allowed him to beat jack nicklaus by a single stoke. had nicklaus won, this would have been a bear slam, 4 straight majors. of course, no one knows this as in those days coverage was slim. if jack played in this era, on a tour of nobodys, except eldrick woods, his major total would have been in the 30's. no 59 year old was winning then and certainly no one ranked 174 in the world won the u.s. open.
