Diesel-engines cannot have in-direct injection unless its pre-chambered, because the diesel engine is a self-iginiton engine. it use the temprature created by the compression to ignite the diesel oil.and the diesel oil have to be atomized so it can ignite easy. and a high pressure pumpe that is camshaft driven (big shipdiesel) or driven by a timed cogwheel( car engine/smaller diesel engines) and it build pressure on the diesel and inject it trough a injection valve that atomize the diesel.

@malswam Definitely an automotive engine. There's an a/c compressor and power steering pump on it. Don't personally know of any spark ignition four cylinder DOHC boat motors made by Deutz.

don't really care what motor it is other than it looks like a honda k series/ toyota dohc/ a duratec 4 banger like in the 4 cylinder cougar i however have the v6 so i cant tell if it is the duratec and my dads honda is a sohc and i've only seen the toyota motor in the drift built 86's. this however is a cool screen saver

it's no a diesel ! Duetz is a diesel engine builder......no provision for fuel injection pump and diesels of course don't have spark plugs

I'm an Autorized Ford Mechanic. You're in right, this is the 2.0 Duratec used by ford. Here i Italy and in all Europe (I think) it's used by ford to use with the GPL fuel on Focus and C-MAX.

Odd, Deutz make diesel engines, and in this animation there is sparkplugs...

another thing though, in your defence I've seen a Deutz screensaver animation very similar to this, and it was infact a marine engine, but it said Deutz on the top cover...

I've operated and worked on the 913's, 716's & 816's and can tell you first hand that they do not belong in a vessel. Power plants an pumping stations are fine, but not in boats. Way too many special tools required - engine mounts are well hidden, etc.

I have a Deutz D908 and it's a problem with an engine inside.

The DEUTZ engines are the worst in the world. Mechanical Problems, Engenheering problems, the company works very badly in the costumer services, they don't answer emails and they are waiting to end of the guarantee to be able to get by with the problem.

Do not buy DEUTZ engines run from problems and avoid paying for expensive engines.

If you need a Generator buy a low cost one... you will see it's better.

Deutz marine is the worst company in the world. The engines are like shit and this video doesn't show what is the end client service after buying and the problems that you can have when you start to work with this kind of engines.

As said before: This isn't a diesel engine!! You can easily recognize that because of the sparkplugs and the injection...definitely a gasoline engine.

This is a Ford engine...search in youtube for: "awesome engine animation" and you'll see.
