Even though I 16 when this came out, I thought "What a great album cover" I'm sure that's taken from somewhere in North or mid Wales ?... any answers.
I've had this album for over 20 years, still listen to it in it's entirety. I have never noticed the 'face' in the clouds on the album cover. So different on an iPod.
This is just fantastic music. Omd began very well and then changed to a negative commercial level... I remember an omd concert in Davos, Switzerland. I was 17 years old and totally overwhelmed... I didn't know this kind of sound before.
@EVERTONIC LOL.. Koeningsplein was referring to the music of this song sounding like OMD's other song "The New Stone Age". Not another band by that title. The Misunderstanding is one of their greatest songs imho.
The name of the album definitely refers to early Kraftwerk's incarnation but the contents is more informed by the death of Ian Curtis ('Statues' for example, is a direct dedication to the man).
Very old and rare to found. It is taken from legendary album including superhit " Enola GaY". Suppose Was one of greatest success they'd realized ever
maybe its better that there is no video for this song. A video would "imprison" the music to certain images, thus our mind and imagination in them, while this piece is so unique and mysterious that each time makes you travel in unexplored worlds

The cover of this record is most defiantly influenced by Neo-Classical Pastoralism. Just wanted to say.

I think this is one of their best songs, along with Julia's song. It makes me feel defiant and frustrated all at the same time!

Is Organization a referrence to Kraftwerk?
henryhetzerII 2 years ago 2
@henryhetzerII
Yes, they were huge fans of Kraftwerk. Also the whole Album Dazzle Ships is a reference to the Radioactivity album...
Davaris122 2 years ago 3
Dazzle ships was one of my favorites as a teenager. So much good music is under-rated.
