  • Even though I 16 when this came out, I thought "What a great album cover" I'm sure that's taken from somewhere in North or mid Wales ?... any answers.

  • The cover of this record is most defiantly influenced by Neo-Classical Pastoralism. Just wanted to say.

  • a great dark,depressing and brilliant album...stanlow is a classic

  • organisation is an album commemorated to the late great ian curtis of joy division

  • una de les bandes mes importants de les decades del 80`s i 90`s sense desperdici............

  • This track used to scare me when I 1st heard it in the dark out of my head all those years back :-)

  • RFWK on the History of Modern is a direct tribute to Kraftwerk

  • I've had this album for over 20 years, still listen to it in it's entirety. I have never noticed the 'face' in the clouds on the album cover. So different on an iPod.

  • My guilty secret. Haven't heard this for at least 20 years but I know every word.

  • Listened to my dad's old record of this all the time back when I had access to a turntable. Nice to find it again!

  • Its actually a cover version of one of their previous incarnations called the ID

  • This is just fantastic music. Omd began very well and then changed to a negative commercial level... I remember an omd concert in Davos, Switzerland. I was 17 years old and totally overwhelmed... I didn't know this kind of sound before.

  • Listen to this track via headphones no distractions , in the dark maybe and see where the music takes you ...

  • I'll never be tired to thumb up this song, 'till they cut my thumb!

  • GREAT!!!!

  • Nice tune but too much like New Stone Age.

  • @Koeningsplein15 new stone age like omd you mean??

  • @EVERTONIC LOL.. Koeningsplein was referring to the music of this song sounding like OMD's other song "The New Stone Age". Not another band by that title. The Misunderstanding is one of their greatest songs imho.

  • The name of the album definitely refers to early Kraftwerk's incarnation but the contents is more informed by the death of Ian Curtis ('Statues' for example, is a direct dedication to the man).

  • just bought this vinyl for a buck in a record store on a whim. suuuuuch a good decision.

  • we jumped around like jerkoffs at prom night to this song. Ahhh the freakin memories.........

  • mi convinco sempre di piu dell assoluto valore dei Depeche Mode .

    NOTHING COMPARES

  • I'm on an omd binge as of late...slowly buying the whole catalogue...

  • @MarkBade

Good decision. Nice to see that my fellow youtube users actually BUY great music.

  • @MarkBade Good to know its not just me. :)

  • I think this is one of their best songs, along with Julia's song. It makes me feel defiant and frustrated all at the same time!

  • Is Organization a referrence to Kraftwerk?

  • @henryhetzerII

Yes, they were huge fans of Kraftwerk. Also the whole Album Dazzle Ships is a reference to the Radioactivity album...

  • Dazzle ships was one of my favorites as a teenager. So much good music is under-rated.

  • One of my all time favourites from the Organisation Album

  • this is a great freakin' track!!!

  • Wow, brings back the old memories!!!

  • I prefer the Peel Session version for some reason.... But still a brilliant song.

  • thesample123

    i totally agree with you

peel session version is so much better

and for some people like me who had not known their music before this song on the compilation peel sessions was the best

  • this song is a Jump/tecktonic song:)

  • @bramseeuws WRONG, this is synthpop (can be called new wave too but not so right)

  • Played it often when I was disappointed, fantastic words to shout

  • Very old and rare to found. It is taken from legendary album including superhit " Enola GaY". Suppose Was one of greatest success they'd realized ever

  • besides If You Leave

  • Yep:) masterpiece!!!! years a head of its time.......

  • the last 1 min 35 secs is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!

  • Great song!!! Too bad there is no official video of it.

  • maybe its better that there is no video for this song. A video would "imprison" the music to certain images, thus our mind and imagination in them, while this piece is so unique and mysterious that each time makes you travel in unexplored worlds

  • @alexspil wow, i could not say it better.. thanks Alex
