Jesus' Ascension

Where did he go? If he ascended up from the earth did he go into outer space. Did he evaporate or disperse? Did the eye witnesses just see him keep going until he was out of site?

@estragon9 Jesus disappeared from their sight. He went into a spiritualized energy that was no longer visible to the physical eyes.

@ruach2351 The only thing I can find is in Luke 24:51 "... he went up into heaven". Luke's idea of heaven must have been that it was a physical place just above the clouds. I can't think of any other reason to go "up". If Jesus had transformed his physical body into a purely spiritual entity in order to move to a different dimension (heaven) he would not go up. Wouldn't you agree?

@estragon9 People were dense then and probably could not relate to the spiritual world as co-existing with the physical. It is a higher vibration. But up is in; up is higher in consciousness.

Your words are beautiful, but why don't the women in your community cover their heads ? Why do you have priestesses? That's not light..that's modern, feminist, relative culture, that fails to make proper distinctions and to submit itself to the law.

@AquariaTV Women covering their heads would be a primitive thing and today, women are considered equal in devotion to God and equal in power before God. Mother Mary was the most holy, pure and powerful woman ever to walk the earth.

The Qur'an says the same thing about Jesus ascending. The only thing that's different is that the Qur'an denies Jesus' first death on the cross along with his resurrection, however, like the Bible, the Qur'an also says that Jesus will one day return to bring people to faith once more. Why Jesus? Because according to Islam, he's the only prophet that didn't die.
