  • Greenpeace♥

  • Greenpeace is awesome!

  • greenpeace is a bunch of idiots, WHO CARES??

  • @turbo1431 k U DON'T EVEN KNO THEM SO SHUT THE F UP!! they do more good to the world than u will do in ur whole life

  • @nishantha012

no, they just make it harder for people to make a living just because they happen to make a living off of products made out of trees

  • @turbo1431 All the animals that live in that forest will care, our lungs will care when the trees won't be taking in our carbon and producing fresh oxygen anymore.

  • @Sarathevamp

ok, but her's the thing: what have the animals in the forest ever done for ME? Nothing. and they never will because they don't do anything beneficial to humans. Besides, trees don't produce the majority of the world's oxygen. plankton do. And I don't see kleenex doing any harm to plankton.

  • @turbo1431 My oh my! Are you dumb.., kleenex harms both the ocean AND the forest, they dump their trash into the oceans, which includes the plastic flap on the box which then harms sea animals! Whales mistake bits of plastic as plankton, and get poisoned by it. Study up on the great Pacific garbage patch.. and how selfish could you possibly be, you have no right to act like you own the fucking planet, we aren't the only species that live here.

  • @Sarathevamp

uhh, I DO know about the great pacific garbage patch, and while I agree that it's terrible that whales are getting poisoned, kleenex isn't doing that, the people who use them are and the majority of kleenex boxes have cardboard flaps, not plasitc. But anyway, while that is tragic, I don't see how the plastic flap of a Kleenex box can harm plankton.

  • awesome videos :)

  • I will never buy Kleenex again!

  • some ppl want pure virgin made tissues we dont want recycled

  • Fuck Kleenex. Now I know why I USED TO use them to clean up Shit and throw them in the Rubbish.

  • Fuck you kleenex motherfuckers i'm gonna bomb their factories to save to forest!

  • it doesn't look like kleenex got punk'd. i mean, this video opened with they're completed commercial.

    you accomplished nothing, greenpeace....yet again.

  • "Kleenex is made from old growth forests..." I'd lmao if it weren't so ignorant. If we did what the combined efforts of all these educated idiots demand, Earth's human survivors would be walking around with gas meters in their mouth's and anal orifices. I wouldn't mind doing the organizer before I were metered, though...

  • would you rather use recycled tissues?

  • yes, and i do you idiot....

  • like for wanking?

  • fags

  • Wow. I had no idea. Now I do.

  • why do all environmental activitists talk like valley girls - even the guys??

  • Probably because most activists ARE from California -- it's a pretty progressive state.

  • progressive's a pretty ironic description.

  • what?!?!!? no thats not it. France and Denmark are huge environmentalist countries, more so then he state of California as a demographic whole. There is alot of people this day in age who seem to be speaking with a high toned, gentrified accent, with the incorporation of the word "like" in every sentence. I was born and raised in this city (Manhattan, which is where this is filmed" and ill tell you from experience that the stereotypical "NY accent" Is dying as fast as the natives are moving out

  • :) I never even implied that CA is more "environmentalist" than anyplace else, I know that's, like, not the case! LOL And as someone from the East coast myself, I use plenty of "like"s every day, too. All I'm saying is that of all my US friends and relatives, when it comes to health/beauty/environmentalism, I tend to hear about things from CA first before it spreads to the rest of the country.

  • I sure as shit don't you busted herb bitch mother fucker...im not the passivist pussy, you thinking that makes you weak... worked for greenpeace...A good cheaper substitute is marcal brand, or Georgia-Pacific....its all about using recycled papers, Charmin does it and its the softest bath tissue, so softness has nothing to do with it,....

  • ONE consumer? who is talking about one? I found my way to this video via research into expanding Kimberly Clark's product range. what confuses me is that Greenpeace endorses the FSC which is branded on Kleenex in the Uk and Europe yet they contradict themselves by running this campaign. People know the issue and they still buy kleenex, it's time people like Greenpeace got off their Arses and start to look at how to produce high quality eco-responsible products themselves.

I'd say that they succeeded in reaching a good deal of consumers.

  • yes? not disputing it, but how many of those people actually stopped using Kleenex?

  • I stopped using Kleenex after seeing this campaign. I had no idea.

  • This is quite an immature comment section. Does Greenpeace have a direct problem with the FSC? if their standards are not enough, what is? Perhaps you might suggest personal hygeine via fallen tree bark? Yes there is a lot wrong with consumer society but rather than whine about it and waste your time trying to "infiltrate" kimberly-clarks operations why not aim to provide a tissue that matches in quality but doesn't use a medium that offends you. K-C caters for a consumer lust, fix the consumer.

  • okay vanden u said there trees they dont give a shit well trees give us ohxogon and people giv a shit and trees in forest are animals homes they giva shit god ur adumbass

  • i had to blow my nose really bad this one time and kleenex using virginal fibers really disturbs me, so i was like "how am i going to blow my nose?" so i skinned a nigger and used his nigger pelt to blow my nose, but it was awful greasy, so i made sure to find something with at least 80 percent post consumer recycled material to take the rest of the nigger grease off

    then i nuked a whale

  • sounds like fun. so u skinned ur dad then nuked ur mom??? i dont get it?!

  • You win the intrawebs! :D

  • I wish Kleenex would cut down 5000 year old redwoods and make them out of tissue paper just to spite Greenpiss.

Death to Greenpeace and death to their causes.

  • theyre trees who gives a shit. they dont have families. why dont we stop wars, killings, robberies, animals, and diseases before we can save the trees.

  • you're stupid.. promoting recycling doesnt mean not doing other things, like stopping wars..

  • Dont you realise it takes 90 years for enough wood to make a box of kleenex tissues? and these ancient forests are being destroyed at a rate of one football field every 2 seconds!!!Well done kleercut!!!

  • Why are old forests more valuable than new forests?

  • because old forests have much larger trees that can absorb more carbon per pound than smaller trees

  • Carbon dioxide does not cause global warming. It follows global warming. I like a warmer planet, it's good for people and other growing things. The scary thing is that this is the 11 consecutive year of global cooling. The Earth will inevitably have these cycles, however. We should not presume that we can or should affect this process.

  • how does global warming cause an increase in CO2

  • Global warming could cause an increase in carbon dioxide, but probably not in ways you would expect. It would occur more as a cascading effect in response to warmer temperatures. The planet does have a natural history of warming and cooling cycles. The problem is that the planet is warming at such an accelerated rate that the planet does not have time to adapt to all of the changes.

  • You bastards really hit them good.

Oh, and there is no intrinsic value to nature... just so's you know.

  • shut the fuck up!

  • get over yourself no one cares about your f**ken nose! lol you see in the end no one wants a flier fuck no one cares. complancency owns us all. we're doomed, see you in hell/nothing.

  • Laugh my ass off!! Can't believe there's people that do this kind of shit... wait, nah I believe it... dude, fuck this world and everything in it. I say, BURN it all!!

  • wow this is just so stupid... you know what? kleenex feels so much better on my nose. how about you stop using crappy smear tactics and try to rise above them.

  • the forests are important to the enviorment with out trees there is no fucking air!! duh! Go and change the world for the better.. if i would have been there i would have helped!! THINK OF ALL THE LITTLE ANIMALS... AND IAM A ENVIORMENTALIST! AND I RE!CYCLE... And never littlr.. not even a cig butt!

  • Actually, no. Most of the oxygen in the air comes from marine plants (70-80%).

Also, air will always exist, the oxygen content might diminish but it is mostly nitrogen so there is little chance of, as you put it, "no fucking air!!"

I am not trying to say that being enviornmentally aware is wrong, but being a mindless zombie without hard evidence to support a claim isn't good either.

Now to the creators of the video, it was great! Hopefully people learn from it.

  • Forests are an important part of the eco system. I don't think AIR is the issue. Animals go EXTINCT when we cut down trees.

  • Agreed.

  • Ahaha. I love the way the douchebag interviewing the woman on the couch near the end tried to take the moral high ground by saying to the banner holders, "Now wait a minute. She's talking about something very personal here..." or words to that effect.

As if he gives a fuck about her personal story. He just wants to see some tears to flog their crappy tissues. Which made it all the more sweet when the woman turned out to be one of the Greenpeace folks.

  • Funny video! With modern technology there are lots of ways to make tissues. Kleenex should make tissues from well managed woodlands -- not ancient forests. C'mon guys, this isn't that tough!

  • Trust me, before kleenex EVER wipes out the forests everybody will already be enslaved to the robot overlords.

  • wtf r u smoking?

  • Right' ON dude... Judgement day, the machine will become aware and take over, fuck YEAH!

  • at the least they're trying to stop people like you from changing the world for the worst. at least they're trying to do something . I'm never gonna use kleenex again. informing the public of such atrocities is a worthwhile and noble endeavor. so fuck you, you piece of shit! don't you care that your children are going to live on a planet devoid of any natural beauty? if not than don't bother responding i already know what you're going to say

  • i hope you get hit by a car.

    we're not stupid.

    youre stupid. :)

  • what a big impact these people are making...

  • im gonna use three KLEENEX tissues now to blow my nose. we gotta clean up that ancient forest i bet its pretty messy...

  • i jiz in a sock GO ME !

  • This video sucks!! Next time i get a cold im not gonna blow my nose in a kleenex tissue, instead im gonna hunt down the makers of this video and shoot a snot rocket right into their eyes. kapow!!

  • lol

  • maybe i can blow my nose on a pinecone.

  • GOOD 1

  • I have a glorious idea for Kleenex's next ad campaign. They could pull a nice king size bed onto some busy sidewalk and pay people $200 to fuck, as long as they wipe their naughty bits with Kleenex after they are done. Assuming they use the footage, of course, and don't fake any orgasms.

  • I understand these people are doing this for the good of the environment, but to bombard people with your beliefs and values irritate the shit out of people. Irritated people lead to pissed off people. Pissing people off will lead them to do things like; idle their cars an extra 5 min just out of spite. Watching this actually made me want to buy Kleenex.

  • If Kleenex wants to put a big blue couch on a public sidewalk and encourage people to cry for money, it is fully within the rights of another to express their opinions about that company's business practices, whether they are right or not.

Just a suggestion for you as you are being spiteful: maybe you could idle your car an extra five minutes in your garage...Just kidding.

  • He didn't say people couldn't express their ideas, nor did he say he was the one leaving his car idle. But it was very rude for them to put that banner up and get someone from their group to go sit. He thinks he's getting a genuine person confiding in him. So the way to putting an end to using the forest for kleenex is trickery, no no no. Just as the second man had ideas to stop using the forest, I'm sure there could have been better ideas for this campaign. Are their lobbyist for Kleenex?

  • Yeah, but it's funny. I mean, by running their ad campaign out in the public, on a sidewalk, they're pretty much asking to be punk'd.

  • treehuggers! boo!!!!!

  • What happened to having a responsability to the enviroment?

  • it's great what you're doing. i'm going to boycott kleenex

  • Then just boycott everything made from trees. Its going to be a hard living!

  • Screw greenpeace.

  • lol ouch keep it up fight for your right!

  • Hey guys. I'm getting my high school involved in this protest in Castle Rock CO. This is great. I've a small protest video on youtube that keeps getting bashed If'd you'd guys like, watch it and give the 'bashers' some facts to play with.

  • Brillent and sleek is what is Greenpeace!!

i have pulled out of KImberly klark

what is to say we clearcut the trees

we don breath end of story end of our existance so what yah i guess i am a tree

    huger

  • Good jobs guys !

    kisses from greenpeace montreal

  • haha awesome, man i run this campaign in boulder!

  • k who sings this song???? seriously its pissing me off

  • Starrfadu

  • good job green guys and gals

  • I didnt know this. Im guna stop buying Kleenex now :)

  • green peace is fucking hardcore brilliant.

  • If that's pissing you off, start your own protest about that, but his is an important protest as well.

  • umm. . .of all the poeple in the world to bash, why tree huggers? i mean common the environment is being destrotyed, 80% of our ancient forests have already been cut down, and here we are cleercutting the boreal-one of the largest storehouses of carbon, this has nothing to do with tee huggers, its about trying to stop the damage wer doing to this planet

  • Hahaha, i think the video was pretty cool:-D

Meanwhile, DAnandler before you get all caught up in destroying the enviroment, please do us all some good and go back to school and learn how to spell.... "You ignorant hick"

  • you gunna cuss out my spelling u ugly biatch, ive been through more school then u and just for u saying this im gunna go piss on an ecosystem and vote for the PC party, suck deez nuts, fuck u, fuck these tree huggers and fuck virgin growth forests

  • hell yea thats what im sayin i work at kc, we kill mad trees fuck tree huggers, all there bitchin but what the fuck are they wiping there ass with then or blowin there nose wit n shit

  • Are you serious? Can you not just a "t" to with and start your sentences, I'm suprised you got a job at KC. As for your questions in this video (I'm assuming you watched the whole thing, and if not you're not qualified to make judgement on it) gave numerous other products to use so that you can "be wiping your as with and blowin your nose wit n shit"

  • Google this exact phrase:: copy and paste::

are kleenex tissues wiping out forests?+fortune

and you will see that Kimberly Clark lied, for more than 10years about their practices, and have less than 20% recycled content in their products, as opposed to the industry standard of 60%

    Translation? Don't believe KC.

Also? Kleenex? 100% NOT recycled, and a statement from KC president confirms this, just go to money.CNN - follow my google words. Shame on KC.

  • I'm all for conservation. I'm looking at a kleenex box right now and it says the box itself 100% recycled paper- one of the guys in this video says the box is 100% virgin fiber. Who to believe?

  • I believe it is a specific more expensive or higher shelf, if you will, product that Kleenex puts out. Yes, some of their products are 100% recycled, but not all - and the really soft expensive boxes...NOT recycled. They can change, we just have to provide the spark. Let's try to save this - if not for your own kids - save this planet for your brother or your sister, or your friends kids.

  • fucken tree hugger faggets, just for this im gunna leave my car running all night while i sleep, and then im gunna let my toilet run through water, and then later i might start my mom, dads and brothers car too warm up for a couple hours

  • It's funny that the cameraman asked the guy what he thought Kleenex could do about it. As if he was going catch him stuttering or something. Of course this guy's gonna be prepared! Duh!

  • Yay! :) tree huggers like me!!!

  • and people who don't eat any animal biproducts are also stupid, god put the animals on the earth for us to eat, I LOVE MEAT!!! UMMM GOOD, and your video does nothing, huge corporations aren't really affected by a very small portion of people. Gosh i'm pissed! I HATE HIPPIES, AND GREEN PEACE, PETA, can go suck a DONG!!

  • what are you talking about? god? hhaa you christian? haahhaahah! why don't you focus on changing something that's actually here rather than that crappy book I use for rizla when I run out. You're such a dick.

  • Brilliant!

  • btw, all those flyers u gave to ppl in times square, are going to be thrown in the garbage.. recycle that...

  • BOO FUCK YOU. greasy fuck green peace

  • Brilliant. Fantastic work, they should keep going. I didn't know anything about what was in my tissues; not sure if it is the same in the UK but most likely! I'm not going to buy Kleenex anymore FACT

Helping to put a nice little dent in their evil corporation >:D

    JJ*

  • Kleercut? Lol, nice name. And the banner they had behind the couch when they were filming was awesome too. Go Greenpeace!

  • people don't care about what they have to say.

  • Or not.

  • I love it.

  • No their efforts isn't futile because it got you to listen and understand the impact that kleenex has on our environment doesn't it? Even if you don't care at least you are aware. It's better to inform one person with knowledge and have them spread the word than to have no one know anything and live life in ignorance. This video isn't going to be taken down and the views are well over 50,000. Their message is definitly getting across to those around the world and youtube users as well.

  • great ending. double whammpy the big poster and the infiltrated person talking to their spokesperson

  • I consider myself a conservative Republican, but on this issue, call me a screaming Lefty! I think these people were very brave to do this and I appreciate it that they did it in a non-violent way. STOP CUTTING DOWN OUR FORESTS!!!

  • SO AWESOME!

I work for Greenpeace and this video always pumps me up. when I see conservative republicans on board with what we're doing, it indicates to me that we're in the middle of an environmental revolution. It doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, it's about taking responsibility for our environment! GO GREENPEACE!

  • I think that if more people could see the actual damage, Democrat or Republican...that is hard to look at and ignore. Not to mention animal cruelty. I've forced myself to watch some of the PETA vids and it has totally changed the way I think (and the way I eat and shop). Just reaching out to people on both sides, there are so many caring, loving people who really want to do what it takes to protect our planet.

  • Had no idea. Thanks for the info. Kleenex, you've lost another customer.

  • I'm going to start buying Kleenex just to piss these rich, snobbish suburban retards.

  • Right on. Piss people off just for the hell of it. That's what this world needs more of.

  • i support the idea of getting kleenex to change their practices, but isnt this all kinda futile? i mean wouldn't they just edit it out for the final product?jw

  • every year 800000 hectars of land are cut down for products

most of which are used for kleenex products

    stop clear cutting

    stop buying kleenex

  • If you don't care about the environment, you should.

After all, you're living in it.

And your children will be, too.

  • ............... douche bags

  • Green peace is just a big group of people who r trying their best to help the earth this is just one of the ways they help

  • and for those of you who are talking about how environmentalists should be living in the mountains somewhere, you should try to stop and think about what good that would actually do. these people are getting the message out to other people about what is being done to the planet. that is far better than living in the mountains somewhere, as this is active and getting others involved to save our planet

  • i love what you guys are trying to do. i mean, we only have one earth, and things like clear cutting are making it worse for the future. thanks for getting the message out!

  • i love this video kleenex jerks

  • Kleenex are nice and soft for me to blow my booggers into. Easy on the nose.

  • I didn't think hippies used computers and the internet? how many trees and how much fuel are you burning right now sitting here? you guys are fucking hypocrites. If you actually cared enough about the envirnment you'd be living in the mountains collecting water from a stream and not using any electricity. You guys are as bad as Al Gore with his private jet. get a freaking life.

  • you bunch of whiney little bitches

  • its like, they actually think of an original way to protest something... and then dont do anything with it.

  • wow these people are all hug chodes

  • Get a Life! Fuck I hate you guys I want to cut all of you! I hope you all die trying to save a trees.

  • agreed

seems tht "greenpeace" are aw now just cunts

  • hey man, i like Puffs.

  • anyone should be able to make a profit anyway they can

  • they're assholes...

  • I dont leave many comment's, but this vid is iteresting. I am not a 'tree hugger' but there was a point there, it's pretty easy to grow tree's just for such product's. People are too pampered. How soft does a tree have to be to blow your nose in it's pulp. I'll do it in new's paper, or a shirt I am gonna wash tommorow. I don't give a crap. There's got to be some sort of hybrid. If some cool place has tree's all around, leave them alone. I for one don't want to fish from a parking lot.

  • get over it. your dont want trees cut down then why you in new york?

  • because thats where the kleenex's own media was. how are they going to get the word out in the forest? lol.

  • Wow, you treehuggers are making yourself looking like idiots. Dont stiffle man's inginuity, they make kleenex for you to cry about people tearing trees down,

    Shut the hell up already.

    damn.

Go ahead and give me negative points so i can go cry into some Kleenex.

  • k faggot

  • you do understand that you don't actually have a point right?

  • haha love it !

  • Fantastic move. I am really impressed. Keep up the good work GP.

  • yeah you really showed them!!!! Idiots, next time try blowing your nose with a rock, let me know how it works for ya.

  • thumbs up, greenpeace rocks

  • w00t go kleenex!

  • self righteousness is always a turnoff.

  • these people should get jobs....oh wait, they're communists.

  • This is great!

    GO GREENPEACE!

  • Stupid fucking HIPPIES!! seriously what kind of a tactic is this. It makes me think that sometimes these so called "activists" are just in it for the thrill, to cause a disturbance, to ABUSE thier first ammendment rights. Seriously, there are other ways to go about making people aware. they think they're helping the environment but did they stop to think that they'll be wasting the crews film, electricity etc. all just to make their ooooooo edgy, statement, ya we're rebels man!! like fuck really

  • Considering the number of veiws on this video I'd say its an effective way to go about making people aware. If you feel you can come up with a better way to protest the use of kleenex products, please I encourage you to join green peace in their efforts. =b

    <3 a fucking hippy

  • um ya that means youtube is a fucking soloution ya retard!! exactly, here, use youtube as a way to campaign your message instead of creating havok and controversy. its called greenPEACE yet they always seem to want to disrupt something. and oh ya your so fucking cool with your "<3 a fucking hippy" bullshit. OH SOO FUCKING EDGY, loser

  • I didn't realize I was trying to be edgy, I think you need to go increase your vocabulary. Read a book.

  • liltk421 needs to shut the fuck up. You think you are superior to everyone. Go fuck yourself kleenex hater. Go use a piece of bark to cry on.

  • ok the people participating in this protest being filmed obviously don't give a fuck about whats in them they just want the money so they make shit up.

  • The people with kleercut did not get paid to participate in the protest, the people who participated in the protest are green peace VOLUNTEERS. So how about you a. think and b. get the facts before you comment kiddo

  • HAHA i catch my spunk in ancient-growth forests

  • kleenex make the best , who cares , im prity sure they give back alot to the enviroment. get a life people!

  • You mean a life on the earth in which is being destroyed by corporation such as kleenex? We'll work on that.

  • So I agree with the message, but really it's sad that tactics like this really only screw over the people who work for the film company hired for the shoot. There was probably one person there that day who even worked for Kleenex, but the poor guys (and gals), who probably agree with environmental consciousness, got screwed into working overtime because greenpeace decided to wreck their shots. It's like trying to get a company to change by sending a letter to some kid working in the mail room...

  • one: i bet if they did work overtime because of this, they got paid for it.

two: 84 000 ppl have watched this video. it's not at all like only the film crew got the message. how would you come to that conclusion?

  • A response in two parts:

one: Have you ever worked a job where you felt like the salary you made was below what you felt your time was truly worth? It all depends on how you value your time outside of work (think: working to live, not living to work...the French work system is an excellent example of this).

two: My point's not that the message was only received by the film crew, but that they were incovenienced by the tactics Greenpeace chose to get their message across (see part 1).

  • if these ppl weren't working for kleenex, they must be freelance, and as a freelance worker myself i know that they would be appreciative of the extra hours. it means they could turn down work later and enjoy living with the security of already having been paid.

but i'm impressed with your deep compassion for people, if not your reverence for ancient forests.

  • Great job guys..Good luck in changing Kleenex ways....

  • this is great...does anyone know if Kleenex stopped?
