To be fair on McNee,I remember him summarizing one of Larssons early games against Aberdeen at Parkhead and he said."This guy is a player,he will make the Celtic fans forget the Di Canios and Cadetes."It is only after he is gone that you realize what a brilliant player he was.

@Armanijesus I think he was a bit better than just "good"..I would say in his prime he was probably the best striker in the world...no joke simply looking at his goalscoring record..back in 2001 if you put him in the Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man U or any other top team of the day he would be a starting striker getting 25+goals a season easy.

Better than Zlatan, he just didn´t have his prime uncontested like Zlatan has.
There is currently no Swedish player to contest Zlatan (well, except Henke then) while younger Henrik has been playing alongside the players that took the bronze in 94 so there was seemingly a bit more competition then.

No, Zlatan is not a better player. Larsson is a smarter player, makes his team-mates look good and looks good himself. Zlatan needs good players around him. Henke Larsson could play in the Spanish League now, without no problems. He is brilliant.
The only thing Zlatan is better on is his technique. And technique makes player look good. Besides that, Larsson is much better overall.

Yeh, he followed his heart and not the fame and money. Im 200% sure that if he hade left Celtic earlier for Man U for exampel he whould have been a god there now, he already is in the british island and a saint in Barcelona.

yeah, im not much of a celtic man but i respect him hugely for sticking to the club he loved. if he had spent his best years in the premiership/spain he would be recognised as not only one of the best strikers of all time but also one of the best sportsmen/professionals of all time. cant wait to see him in euro 2008
