  • michael angelo batio + joe satriani = tiago della vega

  • Nice stuff nice stuff... However, that guy gotta stop pretending. It's clearly playback.

  • That's not live, you can hear fast picking when he's not doing it. Also his other recordings are pretty worse in terms of sound and technique.

  • Della crepa you're a clown with guitar.

  • Crap. This fellow learned a maj7 arpeggio and a blur of nonsence and he is playing it back again and again.BOOOORING.

  • @asasasarap

rofl that's part of music. repetition. i don't like this guy very much, but im having a good laugh reading all the reasons why people think this guy sucks.

  • @YngwieAteMe 1)Della vega sucks. The little plus of his blury slopy boat engine nonsence speed in nothing compared to his lameness in everything else.2) Repetition is a part of studying not a part of composing.Repetative composers tend to become boring composers.Sure you'll have your best phrases but....make sure you have a lot.

  • this song is influenced by steve vai...

  • @marvinarmado your wrong... it was john petrucci...

  • @marvinarmado no your wrong. it was john petrucci.. he's a speed player not a legato player..

  • Fantástico, pena o som não estar muito bom. Gostava de ouvir isto com um excelente som. BOA MALHA!

  • That was pretty nice. :)

  • great!!!!!!

  • Bá que tri meu! Parabéns Tiago!

  • omg i love this guy

  • Yawn... All flash and no substance? There's no tone, no phrasing; no style whatsoever. I don't know where in the world this type of thing is popular, but it's obviously the production of people who hate the guitar and want to turn it's expression into worthless mush..

  • @fubokuen I respectfully disagree with you, fubokuen. I am in my 40's and normally detest "speed for speed's sake" guitarists. However, I think this guy plays with taste and nice phrasing. I also think he has a nice tone for the style. Yes, he's faster than lightning, but I think this video shows him to have good taste as well. Nice vibrato too.

  • @fubokuen i think his phrasing is actually pretty good..been playing guitar for about 10 years now and i dont think hes that bad at all

  • 0:58 to 1:10 did he drop his pick? lol. awesome performance.

  • muy bueno,que digo buenisimoooooooooo

  • its so amazing

  • After watching Malcom Gladwell talk about what makes people successful...I will refrain from saying this guy has some natural talent that others won't be able to reach. If you disagree, youtube Malcom and see what it's about before you flame me. I think this guy has an ability that is amazing. If he just spent a few years under some greats like Gambale, Greg Howe, Satriani etc...he could learn a little more about phrasing. He has speed. If he did that...he'd be THE BEST.

  • Great technique, but poor harmony (2 or 3 chords, no modulation) and rythm (4:4). Very hard to be a good guitarist and good musician both...

  • @albandasilva Jealous?

  • What a great solo! Amazing!

    J.D.

  • I love the ability to play beautiful melodies, but also shred. Rock On!

  • Tiago is wicked,it's so much more than speed. His whole song structure and limitless boundries.Such a wicked tone. His band Fermatha is so awesome too,you really have to find the cd's and listen.Absolutely Brilliant!!!

  • He is too good.. people just keep complain the way he play his guitar but ask to me this guy is too special..

  • faster?, this guy holds the world record for worlds fastest guitar player, and in his world record video, they are talking about him and he has played in many different top black metal bands and used to practise for roughly 10hours a day since he was 5, i think this guy is a real guitar player

  • nice tone

  • nice tone

  • The thing i like about Tiago is that he can play fast as hell, but doesn't feel the need to. He actually knows when to use his speed. He's an excellent musician.

  • the melodic stuff reminds me of Satriani and Vai

  • Nah, it's better. I don't like satriani so much, this is more interesting more soulful for me.

  • I love his tone as well!

  • its all about feeling

  • the arpeggios at 120 oh my freakin god talk about feel this guy is amazing,,dont dog speed very few musicians can play fast and incorporate feel this guy obviously can.wow very nice classy job man.

  • hypnotic

  • como es posible que "toque" con pista, que no se podia conseguir una banda, que seguro tiene, pa que lo acompañara a tocar? no me parece que sea la actitud de un musico serio el presentarse asi

  • I dont understand why people are so irritated with his speed. If you got a fast car would you want to drive it real slow or just pump on the gas? Well TDV has got a fast car and obviously also a slow car.

  • Because there is a time and space for everything in music. If you do nothing but play fast there is a great risk of the music becoming too much over the top. Speed, just like anything else needs to be done tastefully.

You wouldn't drive a ferarri at max speed to your kids soccer practise, would you?

  • @MistahhB Well, at least imo, not over the top, but really boring. Music is an art form, first and formost, and you can't have 10 paintings painted in bright pink and expect people to laud your creativity (well, maybe in the 80's but that's beside the point).

  • @MistahhB if I had kids I would buy a family van. lol.

  • @MistahhB *practice :p

  • beatiful song :) what's her name ?

  • called destiny

  • WOW i want the same amp as his!!!

so i can hide it in the kitchen and nobody will see it haha!!!!

  • Like Vai said. Over all things, you have to develop your inner ear. I stopped learning techniques because a a lesion but now I continue by training my ear. If Becker can still write his music is because he's still Becker and his ear. If Beethoven could write the 9th while deaf is because he still was Beethoven and his inner ear was there (he still could play with his head) . So undoubtedly there's nothing more important to be a musician than that. Unless you only want to be an interpreter.

  • this is like a perfection

  • Either he is playing and synched to a backing track, thus just "guitar lip synching" or this video is not synched up with the sound and I think it's the former rather than the later.

  • I don't think it's either to be honest. from what i can tell after looking closely it seems like he's playing legato after taking a big strum for about a bar. kind of an odd thing to do. almost like picking hand ventriloquism.

  • Thank you, That was very wise...

Where did you learn such method?

( and im just know reading this, lol...

but still, im glad i saw it...

    i shall think differntly know.

  • i didnt like the scenario he played into...anyway he is amazing...

he just need to develop his own style but that doesnt mean he is copying from other artist...

  • Is that from the movie Top Gun?

  • i can tell when its him playing, cause his sweeping is so unique and smooth and the sound of his guityar is noticably

  • everybody can tell when its him playing ....

  • Good morning my friends ...

Above all, listen the album "Hybrid" of Della Vega thus can comment on your feeling and creativity.

However, it is obvious that the guitar faster than world will fry both in time to beat the world record as the time to show how such a hit record.

Now something is FACT: Speed in question, he hits the Michael Angelo, Becker, Malmsteen, Gilbert, Steve Vai and all those guys.

  • Like Malmsteen said to Batio, none of those notes are actually yours. And to put it frankly, when you put two notes with very similar frequencies one besides the other on a very short period. A.K.A Shredding your ass off. It only sounds like noise So there's an upper threshold for speed too. Too slow, you can't tell the rythm.Too fast, your brain senses it as noise. That's one of the main criticisms of electronic music BTW. Is amazing he's on that level. but sadly that's just the way it is.

  • hahahahaha spotlight guy make laugh

  • he's amazing, but he got nothing special except speed (fastest guitar player in the world)

Good guitar players, or lets say musicians should have their own taste, when u hear steve vai, joe satriani, andy timmons, marty friedman, jason becker, greg howe, john petrucci, etc, u can hear their taste, u can easily tell that the song is written by them, but this guy doesn't sound special at all

  • fuck you, i love della vega's music

i'd say hes more symphonic then m.a.b. tho, and yea his speed is exceptional

  • Way to put a point of reference, doing that is pretty easy for any musician. This is the best track I've heard from Thiago so far and guess what? Its Slow!!!

  • smtimes sounds like Vai...)))

  • I think for feel Mark Knofler "Coming home" the live one, is still my favorite...

This guy is amazing, his slow feel sint as liquid as his fast chops tho. No offense, just IMHO.

  • nice song..

  • Amazing! I think the spotlight guy was drunk or sleeping.

  • Bhahahahaha yeah.

  • @ariwoolf option c.) he was jealous

  • @ariwoolf its amsterdam idiot, spotlight dude was high.

  • coooooolllllllllllllllll

  • Awesome as always, brazilian fellow.

  • hes brazilian

  • hes the world record holder but he still knows when to play fast and slow

  • Agreed M8 Thumbs up!

  • @McLarenMercedes5001 world record holder for what ??? lmfao.... writing shitty songs .............music comes from the heart not by how fast or slow you play

  • @MultiSres so what if your heart wanted you to play fast but you couldn't? that would be some major music writing fail as you would have to not follow what's coming from your heart.

  • @danj0seph

that is exactly what these failures who try to diss on della vega don't understand.

  • @YngwieAteMe If you wan't to call somebody a failure call yourself for liking this garbage.

  • @asasasarap

i don't like it, i already said that. i hate his tone, and im just not a fan of his playing. at the same time im not the type of idiot that says "i don't like it so it sucks." i take a look at it from a musical standpoint, and this guy is pretty good. this isn't sloppy, it's very clean. repetition is a part of any music except for jamming. just listen to the first movement of moonlight sonata. are you calling beethoven crap now?

  • @YngwieAteMe In what exactly do you believe he is good? This piece is a dull crap and combined with playback and absence of band and I don't know of what else.............and dellavegas crap wannabe virtuoso expression, makes it lousy. The only thing this fellow deserves to be is a grocery catapult dodger. No serious guitarist, musician or music fan of any genre would listen to dellavega.About sloppiness, just listen to other REALLY live videos.

  • @asasasarap

wow, im through talking with you. "No serious guitarist, musician or music fan of any genre would listen to dellavega." well that's funny because if you listen to music of any sort then you listen to a genre. you're listening to a genre while listening to this guy. if nobody that listens to a genre would listen to his music then that would mean that music doesn't exist because you are listening to a genre if you're enjoying this.

  • @YngwieAteMe Collect yourself my friend.1)People can enjoy listening to one or more music genres.2)In the countless music genres you can find original, less original, inspired good stuff, boring tsuff, trash and anything else you like.Dellavega poses(yes this is the word)as a progressive metal guitarist, artist and a guitar virtuoso.Apart from some very fast simple pattern playing I consider him neither good prog guitarist nor artist nor virtuoso.

  • @asasasarap

you don't understand what you yourself said did you? you said that somebody who listens to tiago doesn't listen to a genre of music. if you listen to della vega then you listen to a genre of music, and i know plenty of people who listen to wide varieties of music and also listen to della vega. you act as if this is the only thing he is ever done. he has more songs in his discography and doesn't repeat the same pattern over and over again.

  • @YngwieAteMe No what I said is clear. No serious guitarist, musician or music fun OF ANY GENRE(meaning listening to or composing/playing)would ever listen to dellavega. Then you say I know people that listen to wide varieties of music and dellavega!!This cannot be true!!!!!!These are not people!!!!!.........they are evil aliens who want to destroy music. There must be a warrant for dellavega for undermining musical taste.Even zoro would kick his ass on guitar playing.......

  • @MultiSres Wow you are an idiot. I'm pretty sure your heart doesn't control your feelings your brain does you idiot read a fucking book or maybe you should have payed attention in biology. MultiSres is right' if your feelings inspire you to play fast then you should do it. Your just trying to knock the guy cause he's one of the worlds best and you don't like him. Fast or not that song is fucking beautiful.

  • Fark this guy is so farking good.

No one even comes close to his speed and precision(not even Michael Angelo); plus he has soul.

I want to see him live and buy his records and shite because he makes me laugh out loud how truely unbelievable his guitar playing really is.

    U R the King

  • He turn Super Saiyan at 1:06

  • hahaha,, like son goku.

  • Wow... Most of the time people who can play really fast record almost entirely really fast songs, but this is awesome! Even the mind-numbing speed parts have great feel to them and go with the song. COME TO OHIO!!! ALSO, PLEASE, GIVE ME YOUR GUITAR!!!

  • Wow! Great technique and beautiful feel.

The speed record is very cool as well.

    Amazing talent.

    Cheers.

  • 技術も凄いが、メロディーも本当に素敵だ!

    日本でも、最高の演奏を聞かせてくれ!!

  • Great stuff as always. Come to Detroit please! :D

  • great song, man! it sounds pretty professional. nice arpeggio-section in the middle. greets
