At that point you should have gotten out of the car and went to jail peacefully, and fought your case in court. You cant argue with the police once they say you are under arrest.... that's the bottom line. If you actually read the law it, you would see that law enforcement does not need probable cause to break the window. The fact that the idiot didn't step out of the car gave them reason to suspect something was afoot. It is called officer safety, police have the right to order someone out of the car for safety reasons. Secondly, there was, IN FACT, probable cause, once the canine alerted. Lastly, Mr Anderson was not found "not guilty" the case was subsequently dismissed....

@lbnmp86 I agree with you. Anderson was given far too much leeway before being arrested. Courts have backed LE officers in the use of force to subdue individuals they perceive to be a threat. Refusing to comply with a lawful order to exit the vehicle is a sign that someone will resist the arrest. Tasers are a beautiful thing. I love watching the taser make people comply. It takes the hubris out of peoples minds temporarily enough to effect arrest.

I then provided three independent sources for confirmation. Your inability to understand the sequence of events does not alter the fact that it happened.

If you actually read the law it, you would see that law enforcement does not need probable cause to break the window. The fact that the idiot didn't step out of the car gave them reason to suspect something was afoot. It is called officer safety, police have the right to order someone out of the car for safety reasons. Secondly, there was, IN FACT, probable cause, once the canine alerted. Lastly, Mr Anderson was not found "not guilty" the case was subsequently dismissed....

You are right though, his non compliance proved that he would find justice in court, first be being found not guilty, then later after winning the lawsuit he filed against the rogue agents.

The courts decided that they had neither, so found for the driver and against law enforcement. The driver is now free to bring criminal charges against the law enforcement personnel who were breaking the law. Apparently, he is doing just that.
Oh, and he wasn't trying to leave the country, he was miles away form the border.
